Singapore is surrounded by water. In the day, these waterways look comforting, calm and peaceful. But in the night, these waters can turn scary. Dennis Chew and his guests visit a haunted pond in Singapore to investigate why water spirits are the most threatening of all. 水体一向给人一种平静，安详的感觉。但是到了夜里，平静的水体可能摇身一变，带给你无法想象的恐惧。这一集，“周公”周崇庆和三位嘉宾将带你来到一个闹鬼的池塘边，探讨为什么水鬼是所有鬼当中最可怕的。

This area has tons of history since colonial times. There is a reservoir above the pond. It is use to be a prison . Old story goes that the Japanese use that place to interrogate people. Some claim to hear clinging sounds of chains or saw white figure in chain walking towards the pond area. The pond is not very deep when we hang around and play in the 90s is just waist deep at the deepest point. Didn't know Dennis and Recardo are my Alma mater. Singapore's tallest primary school. Sadly the whole area is not as lively as the past , the government had move a major estate out of there.

Misconception of 水鬼 1. Ghost died on the sea/water cannot step on ground (law of celestial boundary). They just redoing their sorrowful mistake/misadventure/tragedy again and again. They (human ghost) cannot follow you home. 2. Not all 水鬼 are human. So there are fairy, animal spirit, demon and etc. (please no racism in spiritual realm) 3. The sea is an open gate away swirl to other side. pretty must normal thing to see things fly pass. 4. honestly, living human are more scarier than ghost. (It true...) Old saying that all water ghost find replacement is false. Unrestful spirit are just looking for partners to join them so that why wont be lonely. Ghost party of misadventure 🤫. that how my six sense brothers see it. Dimensional loop, Use sharp 阳草 tall grass tied on your index finger like a ring as it can ward them off and stop the loop. if you get cut by the grass, they wont come closer because all these tall grass receive alot of positive energy.😉.

Interesting stories of ghostly sighting. Thank you for the video sharing. Spirits or unseen entities do exist whether it's sunny day or after sunset; just that they prefer after sunset because during day time, the " yan chi" is not ideal for them. Why I say spirits do exist? I have the privilege to get acquainted with Buddhist monks in the past years and they have shared their enlightened knowledges on matter of spiritual dimension. When their learning process on monkhood attained certain level, in fact, they can see these unseen entities. So called the 'Third Eye' vision. It is not the process of learning or meditation for the reason to see these entities. It is they have reached certain level of achievement, they have such special visual ability. And, from their experience only I realised spirits existence is not dependent on the hours of the day but it is more prevalent after sunset. And, according to these monks, some of these unseen entities looks pitiful because they cannot or have not let go or 'unfinished business' in this worldly realm during their lifetime (while still alive). Of course, like human race, there are also spirits in few categories. Wandering spirits, jinn ( in the wild or natural environment), demons ( vengeful spirits of jinn). Those people who use evil spirits to hurt another person, they use vengeful spirits or jinn pendamping as their caretaker or instrument in black magic or witchcraft. Usually people to such things to other people rooted from the overwhelmed sense of envy or jealousy. Singapore ghost stories are indeed goosebumps trigger. The Malaysia version of darkside stories of such are quite scary too. This is just for sharing.

The most scary thing i ever did was taking walks at bukit brown cemetery during the hungry ghost month. That time was after 7pm. I passed by some workers there. They said how brave i was walking at that time. Only later i began to wonder whether they are humans or spirits. LOL 👻 But i have been walking at bukit brown cemetery for many many years. Usually after 6.00 or 6.30pm when its nice and quiet. I hear whistles, crying, laughters etc. i just ignore it and walk on. I am female by the way.

This pond was where I used to hang out with friends during my primary school days and I am there quite a number of times the past few months as well but only in the mornings. In fact I also encounter something which I cannot explain as well just 2 weeks back at the park where the pond is.

@@icyboy771z The pond is right on top of Pearl's Hill City Park. My recent encounter was that if you go up the hill from Pearl's Hill Rd, you will have to climb that more than 100 flight of stairs to get to the top. That day I was at the bottom climbing up and vaguely saw someone near the top standing there and facing down the steps. For just a few seconds while I was looking down at the steps while walking up, I looked up again and there was nobody there. Well that person could have turn back and gone up the hill and went off but the strange thing was that I thought the person was facing down the hill which meant to walked down instead.
