I have a Glock 19X and a CZ P-10C. Both with the O-light PL-2 Pro. I hear the O-lights fit in the Surefire 300 holsters. ( Update. It works! W00T!! ) Basically using this for my classes, at Front Sight. Thanks for the share!

Did you have to do any adjusting to the holster? I ordered one off amazon and it didn’t work. I’ve got a M&P with a pl 2 pro. It technically fit in the holster but it wouldn’t lock onto the light. So there was no retention.

Reminds me of the Phlster Floodlight that also indexes on the weapon light. This one is kinda neat because its more than likely cheaper and it offers the level 2 retention SLS/ALS copy. I would agree, Phlster and Safariland are probably a better "duty grade" choice for a holster. Good cheap option for range toys/oddballs if you have a light preference though.

Thanks for the great video. I love this holster. I want to swap out my holster to something with retention. Also I love both the TL1’s and the X300 lights. But I don’t see the X300 worth the premium. Both give out great lumens, durability , and sale battery life. I’d rather have more TLR lights than fewer X300’s. Both are great though.

Excellent video! You are good at this! Keep it up! I don't have one of these and have written it off but may consider it. My reasoning would be id rather attach a tlr1 I swap around so I have a holster for lots of pistols instead of sending another $110 to Blackpoint tactical or gearcraft for a pistol I may not want to keep forever. 2nd hand custom holsters lose more value than a new car.

I’ve had one for a while now and like it. It’s a little bulky but has to be so it can be multi fit. I bought it bc I’m tired of spending 100$+ on a holster which I find is ridiculous. So I bought this and use it. It’s my edc holster, I use it daily, and I’m training. I’ve used serpa for years and never had an issue. My opinion is it’s a good product overall , and not just for range use

I like this Black hawk item. I think it holds up to patrol environment. I played around with it some years ago and it held up. The only adjustment I made was I installed the large thumb release extender (that came with it) as oppose to the shorter stock one already installed. When using this or any holster, I think you've gotta have your belt on nice and tight so that when you draw your not pulling up your belt too. In fact now that I think about it, maybe Black hawk could somehow make it bottom heavy or something. I know a lot of people frown upon this item. But it is level II retentive. Unlike Safariland, they have level II holsters with "secure" retention, so it (looks) like it's even more secured as opposed to this item. This item almost looks as if only half of your gun is protected, even with the trigger guard covered. But, I think "duty" holster is dependent on an officers skill level to defend it. I've seen training were people have had their level II Safarilands get their weapons taken from them like taking candy from a baby. I think departments who authorized old guns should discontinue them because of the upgrade hang ups like Mr2ndAmendment stated, when he spoke on the surefire lights for 92FS. Me personally, I'd rather have a more flush rail system such as what the 92A1 has. Speaking of rails, I've seen this: www.amazon.com/Recover-Tactical-System-Beretta-Pistol/dp/B00P7D3H1Y/ref=sr_1_38?dchild=1&keywords=recovery+picatinny+rail+kit+92fs&qid=1624518680&sr=8-38, set up used by a guy at the range who also had the TLR-2 laser attached and it fit like a glove. Maybe if Black hawk designed this item to look more like Safarilands 6280's or something (where it looks like it's covering more gun/top part of your gun) then perhaps departments would appreciate it's universal application more. Just my one two on it.......

@@tlbssauro : Well, I think it's cool. Taking the weapon out by force is not as easy as it looks. This thing will hold! I bought one myself and am very satisfied with it. If you ND with this holster, that's definitely on you. The SERPA, on the other hand - still you, but that holster has what I consider a flawed design, and everybody is free to SERPA holster everything they want, but I'm not about it. Between the breakages I've seen, to the design itself, I cannot recommend. The Omnivore is completely in the opposite direction though.

I think it would work for some duty… but for sure ALS is always better
@Mr2ndAmendment Жыл бұрын
Oh for sure. I did actually use this holster back in 2019 when we got "deployed" to the border mission in El Paso. We were issued standard M9s with standard 80s era holsters, so I put my Surefire M9 rail adapter and Streamlight on the gun and used it, and it did everything I needed it to. I guess, for duty use, it worked, but Safariland's ALS is definitely my gold standard for duty pistol holsters. I still use an omnivore in classes, but I use the Safariland midride adapter, which needed some new holes drilled in it to work, but it works with the Omnivore. But yes, ALS is much better.

How about a gun WITHOUT A RAIL?
@Mr2ndAmendment6 ай бұрын
There are things you can do, as shown here with a 1911 and M92F that don't have rails, but utilizing the old Surefire add-on rails, they work. It will depend on the gun in question, a gunsmith can add a rail to the dust cover/frame of many metal-framed pistols, but others may not be possible or worth the time. But that's all on if you want to use this holster. What do you have? For odd, historic, or unique guns without rails, basically custom leather or kydex is the way to go. Expensive, but a good holster-maker can make all the difference. Since this video, Blackhawk does have a non light-bearing Omnivore, but it requires at least a rail to install the indexing piece, which sounds like that wouldn't help here.
