I've watched all the reviews of both controllers. Most agree the V4P fixes what the A4 messed up, but it seems the A4 BMW improves even further. Which should I get: the V4P or the A4 BMW? I play mainly fps games but not sweaty. No cod or overwatch, stuff like Arma Reforger, Ready or Not, Insurgency: Sandstorm, etc., also play games like Hell blade, Forza Horizon 5 and other story driven games. I'm leaning towards the A4 BMW because of the triggers, I don't adjust stick tension often (currently using Elite Series 2), and bigger battery. But the V4P is a half of the price with the stand and has actual trigger stops, that can't be pushed through. Money isn't an issue, but I do like to get my money's worth. Which should I get? Also, does the A4 BMW have auto on/off when docking and undocking?

The one reason in your case to go Vader 4 Pro in my opinion are the extra two buttons in front, if you think you'll use them. It's cool to be able to bring these to L3/R3 or LB/RB or even L2/R2. Apex 4 BMW is the one to go for if you appreciate immersion above all else. Those triggers add to the experience when set up, the overall controller is a blast to play with with all the different textures it has too.

I'm enjoying my V4P so much atm but if the V5P get those colors I will buy for sure. Gorgeous controller! Well, minus the stick symbols 2000hz is insane and appreciated but I wish/hope they increased the range instead, I noticed the V4P dongle has a rather short range. great video, and yes you can get gyro in Steam Input with NS mode wired on the V4P and it's been pretty good

OK, you've persuaded me. The V4P is 60 bucks in my region (China) and this is 110 bucks. Gonna get this over the V4P for the premium build and aesthetics and the triggers (I'm not a competitive FPS player so I think these will be more versatile for my game tastes).

I bought this controller expecting to use it a couple times and put it in the collection and go back to the Vader 4 as my daily driver. Its super cool looking. I havent put it down. It has replaced the Vader 4 for 2 reasons. I love the sticks, theyre perfect. I also love the rubber grip and the weight but I feel like your conclusion is spot on. I bought the accessories and I love the Vader 4. I am that guy who really loves these controllers. Im hoping for a Vader 5 with these sticks and the rubber grips but would probably buy another Apex if they managed to top this one somehow. I think the next Apex needs some sort of real trigger lock its really the only reason I ever reach for the Vader 4 anymore the mouse click triggers are still the best when gameplay is getting spicey.

You know what, I agree about the trigger lock, the new one needs it, I love it too! As much as the force feedback lock can serve its purpose, I’m always concerning of damaging the mechanism over time when I push past it.

Sorry im a bit confused by the latency part because you have multiple latency specs. Say im going to play rocketleague with perfect 1ms response time monitor, what would be my latency with this controller?

It's impossible to tell you exactly and anyone who does don't understand latency if they do. What I can say is that based off of my results, you could have similar ones, so assume more or less 29ms. That is totally latency. Think of the latency that exists between you pushing the button and your eye seeing the result of you doing so. But your latency could be slightly higher, slightly lower, but being the exact same thing is wildly unlikely.

@@EverybodyEditsHacks The 2C 2.4GHz has beyond average latency based off of Gamepadla, for me, the difference isn't substantial enough but that's the beauty of option in many ways. You can have both or stick to the one that leans on the priorities you have in your gaming. Thanks for your inputs!

A great controller when it worked. Too bad the thumbstick broke after just three months. This Wukong edition is more expensive than the Elite controller. The Elite controller is known for reliability issues, but mine lasted two years before having a sticky face button issue. This one however only lasted three months. Probably I should go with Vader edition with new thumbstick design and half the price.

@@jorgegallegos6151 I read about a similar issue with the original Apex 4 and assumed the Wukong version would be better. Unfortunately, it has the same problem. The thumbstick design has both X and Y axis, while the X axis works fine, the Y axis is completely broken and the thumbstick is no longer usable.

Thanks! It would depend on your primary goal, if aiming is your top thing you want to do, the Cyclone 2 is king tier for the time being. That said, the APEX 4 BMW is fantastic while bringing unique stuff as well.

It would be very neat to try do half circles with the D-Pad in order to see that the controller do not skips the down inputs. I say this because it happens with my Vader 4 Pro and it was a little disappointing to know that in the very moment that I tried to play a fighting game. But at least the controller is wonderful on anything else so I'm happy with it despise of that

You mentioned there is an option to BT connect to PC. Can you pls tell me how? Step by step. i have to use xinput BT instead of steam i guess? Xinput is windows native standard. The higher the resolution of the sensor, the lower the steps of data increment (which is better), based off of step resolution, this is the performance of a 12-bit sensor. If it isn't, they are using some type of wizardry that I wouldn't know about.

Are you sure the wukong is 12 bit ? With the v4p u can select between 8 -12 bit in the fly digi app but with the wukong that option isn't there within the fly digi app so I presumed the wukong was just standard 8 bit ?

It sure doesn't feel like 8-bit and based off of step resolution, it's gotta be 12. That said you are correct, the option to reduce the sensor sampling rate is not part of Apex 4 BMW. It can be practical for battery life but removing it is something less to worry about to be honest, I think it's a good move on Flydigi's part and removes potential "customer service inquiries".

@GameTechTalk yes I haven't done any testing, I loved the feel of the vp4 sticks but it's impossible even with loosening tension and having all the same settings to make the wukong feel the same, the only reason is either the sampling is lower or it's a different stick. I also love the way they took away the option to change the overclock as in my experience this caused issues for me and others on the vp4 where it would sometimes down clock from 1000hz to 500hz. I love woodgrain. LG (IIRC) and Motorola used to offer woodgrain back plates with their better phones and they were awesome. Even plasti-wood gets the job done. This choice was a big win for Flydigi. What was a big L is charging close to $200 and nickel 'n diming everyone on the accessories. How much could a phone mount cost? Several pennies? The dock probably costs a couple of dollars to make. I agree with you that they should've raised the price a bit and included everything. Make this the best controller they make. Automobile manufacturers often do the same thing. It makes sense on a Quebec special Nissan Micra where they're trying to hit the lowest possible price point. It makes much less sense when someone like Porsche does it with their 911 sports tourer. If you're a fancy brand in your space, which Flydigi is, then don't act like a value brand. Then again, they'll reply that they're acting just like the fancy brands in every other industry, and they'd be right. Great review, as usual. I hope that you enjoy your Vegas vacation, Klef!

The best relies on multiple aspects, there is slightly better when it comes to aiming overall but 2000Hz polling rate is nothing to scuff at either. As for aimbot, I'm sorry but I do not study these solutions and have no intentions to ever do. Cheers

have you tried to play with gyro in switch mode? it's a great thing. for me personally it was the turning point why I switched to play with gamepads. Especially my first gyro experience was with Gulikit kk2pro in switch mode. also bought Dualsense and Steam Controller. Oh God it's so amazing. nearly close to mouse experience. So confused about why gamers community underrated this gem function. Whatever traditional gamepads moreover Xbox gamepads are literally bottle neck of gameplay. Such companies as a Valve, Sony, Flydigi, pushes technology forward. But Microsoft is not even following them. So I think Valve has all credentials to take over the gaming industry. Valve has games, community, only thing that left is teaching all how to make dope controllers.

The thing with gyro is it's easy to "not do correctly" and the "out of the box" experience is not always great on PC, it requires a bit of tinkering. For most people that have put in the work, they get why it's so useful to use and I'd say as someone that has, I believe it's better for aiming than a stick, as long as there is no wired attached and that the software solution is reliable. I do hope more and more people give gyro a fair try!

I love my flydigi v4 pro, but it disconnects in game randomly and spins my character around. Idk, kind of a deal breaker for someone who really enjoys fps games. Maybe the apex wukong has better connectivity.

189USD, no HD rumble, no metal backpaddles, 2 less buttons compared to the vader 4 pro, just go with the vader4 pro IMO, after experiencing HD rumble first on the KK3 max and now on my Tarantula pro, there is no way IM buying a controller anymore that doesnt have that, oh and trigger locks are also missing, so yes Vader 4 pro if you want a flydigi controller. PD: Yes those thumbstick caps are definitively a sexual innuendo, and its not even subtle.
