Hm. Great vid. Mt Pinibar trail has beaten me twice. First time wet track. 2nd time dusty dry. No place for an ifs 100 series. Our live axle 80s and a GU handled it with little effort where I had to turn around. Hopefully they will put a dozer through there soon as it is our favourite trail in Vic HC.

I also noted Ford send a mechanic and sometimes engineer. For an authentic ownership demonstration, when you have a breakdown you should have to wait for a day for a flat top to arrive, then the local Ford dealership saying you’ll have to wait for a week ‘til we finish all the oil changes we have booked before we even open the bonnet, then it will be 4-6 weeks for parts and then after they arrive, we will book it in in another week once we’ve done more oil changes and fit those for you. That’s an authentic breakdown experience these days, sad to say.

Yes Josh is a mechanic (as well as a social media wunderkind) but I'm afraid he doesn't work for Ford. He's very much part of the PC4X4 team. ☺️ -Staff

A Ford engineer came along on one episode in three years. He took holidays to do so because he’s a 4x4 enthusiast. I love your conspiracy theory though- it’s far more interesting than the reality 😅

We just came back from our 10 day adventure to the High Country. Tackled the Pinnibar track from the Tom Groggin side. We did it the same time last year and thought it was rough…boy, it was 10 times worse this year. We captured it in our first episode and hope we do it justice. Much respect.

It is challenging especially when you haven't got time on your side. We camped at Buckwong hut and visited both Mt Gibbo and Mt Pinnibar on the same day. Tracks were steep and challenging but not this bad. The following day, we exited Buckwong hut and Vic High Country by Mt Hope Rd to Tom Groggin. This was easier track.

Great vid, but from what i could see a tree trunk protector wont save the tree if that said tree your using it on is already dead? 🤔

I can’t believe there isn’t a tank guard , my Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk has a chunky plate from Factory.

The vehicles are not running stock tanks, its an aftermarket tank made from 2mm aluminised steel. The boys however haven't been all that kind to them 😆 -Staff

@@MR4X4 Brown Davis I presume? Still no protection seems like madness, kind or not 2.8t (Estimate)of vehicle dropping on a fuel tank even a few inches is a huge point impact load ,no matter what it’s made out of. Not much will survive that without protection to take some of the sting out of the fall.

Is the vehicle fitted with underbody armor, and if not, would that have prevented the leak?
@MR4X49 ай бұрын
It is fitted with underbody protection, unfortunately the old fuel tank had taken more than a few hits on the last season and this was the one that finally split it. -Staff

If its a state forest does that mean you can camp with dogs there?
@chris-tq5ly9 ай бұрын
You can it state Forest but please don’t in national parks. I see too many people with dogs in national parks. 1. The bait a lot of NP for ferals so your furry friend might not make it home but 2. And more importantly they are restricted areas to protect native wildlife and the more people doing the wrong thing the more likely they will be to restrict access!
