*UPDATE* I've recently discovered how to pull the project frame rate into the expression 😀 Woo! Here it is: ceil((time)/comp:GetPrefs().Comp.FrameFormat.Rate)

Even though I am still really new to Davinici I love the fact that there are stuff that are actually programable. Being a programmer it make my life easier. Also In programming parlance: Parentheses are "(" or ")", Brackets are "[" or "]" and Curley Brackets: "{" or "}"

Brilliant! Just the kind of advanced stuff I'm looking for. I bet you're just the guy who can help me. I have a 20 minute video that I've shrunk to about a minute using Retime Controls. I'd like to add a timer that represents the original time rather then the new condensed time. Ideally the timer would speed up and slow down as the video speeds up and slows down. I hope I explained that right. Any help would be hugely appreciated. Thx!

Hi Alex, Thank you, I'll be using this to count frames for creating animation sync'd to music. Add Title + dynamic counter across the whole song, then cut to the beat, or significant points of music, result gives how many frames are need to animate for each cut. Add cuts, slide cut points as needed, dynamic results. Use comp.RenderEnd-Comp.RenderStart .. " frames" This is exactly what I needed in 2024.

Alex another great tutorial, keep it coming. You should have a little longer vids for more monetization imo. After all you're teaching us valuable things. Could you complement this tutorial with another about loading bar for time/percentage? Something to put at bottom portion of the video to see and read the progress of desired clip.

This is incredibly helpful, like many of your videos. Is there a way to make the counter stop on a number? For example, I'm trying to count up to 90%. I'm using a workaround of copying the text object as a static number, then extending it out in the timeline and pulling back the timeline length of the counting clip but it's not ideal.
