If they ever remaster this game, I do not see Kratos making a return. Ed Boon stated that he hated adding Kratos to the game due to Sony’s strict rules on the character. This is why MK no longer adds console exclusive characters.

The series could actually be revived if they decided to remaster this game! Fresher & Sleeker renderings. As well as new fatalities and brutalities. People really love and respect the fighting mechanics of this game. Some say that it's the best!

The only ones missing are Cyber Smoke, Unmasked Sub-Zero, Sub-Zero Bi-Han, Chameleon and Khamaeleon and I don't know why they didn't include them. And lastly they should only include Tremor since he was originally supposed to be there in Mortal Kombat Trilogy but was cut due to time constraints and lack of story, lore and bios and because of that he is supposed to be in MK9 2011. Oh and I almost forgot about him Motaro he was supposed to be playable and why Motaro not included.

I'm not going to be anti AI or anything, if an AI does something good, I won't spit on it. It looks ok, but there could be some improvements. Characters seem to be overtextured, for the sake of "details". It's a bit too much, it needs something smoother. Johnny Cage is really bad, he looks much older.

Mk9 is still by far better than the last few Mk games. Honestly,it's the only one that deserves a proper remaster. Keep the gameplay as it is and just give it a visual upgrade and make it crossplay. I'd buy it without hesitation. If they added the extra stuff from the vita version and included the cut characters like shao, kintaro, and goro, that'd be a real win.
