I really miss the animated shorts you guys used to do also the whole cast and cohost 2000. I thought the the Eagles did very little to turn the tide of battle I think the extended version out next Nov might help with that but I have to aggree with Korie that the Rankin Bass animated version was on point not a lot of useless garbage just got the heart of the story.

If you've read the book then you'd know the five armies in The Hobbit. You'd also know why The Eagles do show up, The Eagles have a mind of there own. I have to say that this Hobbit Trilogy is better than the animated version. It fleshes out the story a lot more.
