The Byford Dolphin explosive decompression accident is very famous. There have been many accidents on that particular rig. That one was just the worst. The only thing that was a little misleading said by the guy was that ALL 4 guys inside the chamber exploded. In reality on Helevick experienced that, the others just simply died instantly as the oxygen and other gasses in their bodies was ripped out of their bodies and their blood boiled and organs instantly seized up and stopped working...but they weren't actually exploded into pieces, the 3 of them were whole and laying in their beds, well one might have been sitting in a chair, but the point is they died instantly on the spot they were at. Helevick was right next to the door and was sucked through that crescent shaped door opening that was 24in at its widest part...his body was literally ripped to shreds and his organs were shot out of his torso and landed several meters away and one of them was even up 10m hanging on something. Honestly it looked like he had swallowed a pound or two of C4 and set it off. I think there was like 8 different chunks (the largest pieces like legs and arms and hips and such) that they were able to put together in a human like shape for autopsy, but many of his organs and pieces of his organs were entirely lost. It was devastating. But again, he died instantly and that's about the only thing that can be said to be a positive from this entire thing.

I remember reading about the final saturation diving incident years ago. It is fucking terrifying, and I caution anyone from digging too deeply or you WILL find the photos of what one of the men looked like afterward. It was so traumatizing that even the men on the rig who saw this will not speak of it. Period. Delta P is terrifying. You couldn't pay may enough to do that job.

Y'all gotta react to "Top 3 places you can't go, and people went there anyways." Those are honestly more terrifying than the "Sound fake but are true" stories. The stories and the way he tells them, literally has you on edge, and feeling extremely anxious until the end. So I strongly suggest watching part 5 of his "Top 3 places you can't go" playlist, and "Never swim in this Australian river." Those are great stories, but sadly enough, very much true.

They should have just left that guy who lived in the woods alone. Stealing candy and chips when absolutely no one is around isn't a violent crime, there's no reason to draw a gun on someone who's clearly trying to avoid others and just looking for food. Once you notice it's a pattern, just be kind. Leave a care package outside of the place that's being stolen from- give to those who need it. Who cares if they actually "need" it or not. Just do a kind thing.

I think the majority of people would go absolutely crazy without human interaction for one year... let alone nearly thirty years! 🤔 I'd imagine that would almost be like being in solitary confinement for 27-years. Actually, it would probably be worse. At least in solitary confinement, you have SOME human interaction, you're not out in the harsh elements, and you know you're getting three meals a day.
