Wonderful Native legend about dolphins >>> Hutash told the people to go across the rainbow bridge and to fill the whole world with people. So the Chumash people started to go across the bridge. Some of them got across safely, but some people made the mistake of looking down. It was a long way down to the water, and the fog was swirling around. They became so dizzy that some of them fell off the rainbow bridge, down through the fog, into the ocean. Hutash felt very badly about this because she told them to cross the bridge. She did not want them to drown. To save them, she turned them into dolphins. Now the Chumash call the dolphins their brothers and sisters.

@oliviam89803 жыл бұрын
Eem sorry people in this thread are giving that psycho a bit too much credit. "Love" doesn't make someone shoot the person they "love" and push them off a cliff. If you love someone who leaves you , you respect their wishes and let them go and understand you are going to go through a lot of pain and heartache getting over it. The killing was an act of immaturity and disrespect. It was the ultimate act of a controlling manipulator who could no longer control the person. It's "you want to leave my life? Then you don't get to have a life, I'm taking that from you". THAT is not an example of "love makes people do crazy things". That is an example of a person so selfish they should not have been in society in the first place. If it wasn't her, it would have been someone else later on.

Story #2 is truly terrifying. I was in a very similar situation with my first boyfriend. I ended it with him and he just didn't want to accept it. I moved to a different town to go to college and he followed me and even moved into my same apartment complex. He started riding the same bus as me to and from campus and he found out which apartment I lived in. He would regularly come to my door, knocking like crazy, yelling that he was going to kill himself if I didn't take him back...etc. I tried so many times to get him to leave me alone but it wasn't until I blocked him from everything and moved back in with my parents that he finally stopped. It's been 11 years since I broke up with him and even though I'm married and he knows this, he will still text me once every other year or so trying to "apologize" for how he acted. My story could've ended up so much worse...
@Mindy-lr4xh11 ай бұрын
My sister went through something similar and moved back into my parents home for safety sake, they had a mother in law apartment and she moved there. At one point she let him in, and was begging her to take him back (they had a child). He actually went to my dad and asked him to convince her. My dad told him (the guy was saying he would kill himself if she didn't comply). that the only reason he hadn't supplied him with a gun to do was because he didn't want the mess in the house. My dad liters dragged him to his car and kicked him out.

Mr Ballen, my very good friend Matt was dating/in love with Jolee when this happened. Loren had found out they were dating and that text she sent was to Matt before she went on the hike. It’s crazy that I’m watching a MrBallen video on someone I know who was affected by this, but as always, you tell the victim’s stories with the most respect. We always want to assume that everyone has good intentions, give them the benefit of the doubt, and unfortunately, in this instance, it ended in Jolee’s untimely demise and ruined so many peoples lives. I hope Loren rots in prison.

All animals have been known to save humans in rare situations like that. Animals understand unconditional love better than humans
@Mr.MFuckingYTchangedmyname3 жыл бұрын
@@TiffanyStarr2141 No they don't, not at all. If they are saving people, it's a purely primal survival instinct situation to which they are attracted, but which they cannot understand. They might be driven to "save" someone, perhaps seeing them as a strange type of their own species, but they won't know why, other than self-preservation of their own kind. One thing is certain, it isn't love. If they have any human-like emotion, they should let us all die, because humans are pretty bad news for animals. To attribute human emotion to animals is deluded. If anything, when another animal prevents a predator from taking a human, they are being stupid, because it would be better for them to allow the kill to made and they themselves would be left alone instead of being predated. Successful life on Earth is down to avoiding being eaten, love, or indeed hate for other creatures, doesn't enter into it. Of course, they are not stupid, we have just developed differently (I won't even say further, because we humans are pretty fucking stupid and mistaken in so many of our ways, to the detriment of our own species, and ultimately the rest in this world around us.)

Gotta respect the boyfriend being absolutely willing to carry his injured girlfriend out of there. He ultimately made the wrong choice for his life but instead of waiting he made the call to go out on his feet trying. Who knows, if they both stayed the chance of them both dying was super high. At least he fought for them both. A good man.
@ShadeSlayer19114 жыл бұрын
The best thing they could have done in that situation is sit tight and wait for help to arrive. With how easily they got lost, even if he did somehow find help, he'd have no way of leading them back to Salor, so it'd be pointless. Even trying to carry her to keep going when they're already lost was a bad move. All that does is expend more energy, increases chances of further injury, and get more lost.

@@andikay71 Orca in the wild are peaceful towards humans, the only case of them hurting humans is from captive orca. But anyway, even native peoples have recognized Orca as protectors of mankind in various mythos. Perhaps that is because they are marine mammals and thus share quite a bit in common with humans, but that is my speculation. The point being: Orca are not whales, and despite the intimidating moniker of 'killer whale' they are actually incredibly peaceful towards humans. They can be cruel to other animals in the wild, but hey, that is the wild. I'd sincerely recommend you do some more research on Orca; I think you will be surprised by their peaceful nature.

"Her ex-boyfriend was very possessive and wouldn't let her leave without threatening her, but she still wanted to be friends with him." Notice anything off about that sentence?

She was a bit dumb to trust him but he was psycho and even tho she was kind to keep him as a friend, he wouldn't allow that.
@nope7483 жыл бұрын
@@kalielik i swear it was a lose-lose situation. I can literally imagine myself in her shoes. By saying yes she can possibly make him less angry and upset and therefore less likely to hurt her in the future, cause she'd be giving him what he wants, time with her. And with abuse like that, you do want to get away from the abuser but they'd been together for so long that it was still fresh and she might've been clinging on to him still, even from loneliness too. On her instagram page she posted a meme suggessting she thought he was too good looking for her so she might've even thought that was the most she deserved/could get. It's just really so messy, it's not as simple as someone being "dumb" it's more about every wrong piece connecting to enable the worst situation possible.

@@kalielik yea but police will literally tell you that they can't do anything if the person hasn't actually done harm to you :/ even stalking cases aren't taken seriously by the time something big enouigh would've happened for police to have done something, it would've been too late

How naive can you be to go on a hike with a guy that possessive and clearly has a clear motive to kill?
@katbutler68874 жыл бұрын
Most people are not vicious killers.
@grayprince74 жыл бұрын
Okay, it depends how ur ex is. If your ex was a genuinely good guy, and you two just weren't compatible lovers, yeah, sure, lets go on a hike! This guy had shown that he was a bad guy though. However, i know how it feels to miss some one, you'd agree to do the stupidest things. Plus, towards the beginning of the trip, i bet she thought nothing bad was going to happen, everything was good so far. Plus, the guy she was with was regularly posting on his instagram, her friends new where she was, every thing should have been fine. But she didn't account for the fact that this man wasn't trying to hide the fact he'd killed her. He wanted to he arrested for killing her. "If I can't have her, no one can"
