@Ketutar4 жыл бұрын
well... you CAN use your own recipes as long as you follow the flour/wet ingredients ratio and let the machine do the dough. It basically means that you put the flavoring in the wet; very finely chopped, preferably juice - or in flour if it is dry powder. Like dried, finely ground spinach or tomatoes. Also, for future testing, go find some videos of other people using the things. The manufacturer usually has an instruction video, and there probably are other people out there as well who have tried. Even though I enjoy your occatinal screw-ups, I enjoy more when you make things work :-)

Barry this machine is actually amazing (I have the larger one). If used properly it’s awesome. It’s a home version of an industrial pasta extruder. Watch tutorial videos to understand how to use it properly. It’s one of the best investments i’ve made.
@put45583504 жыл бұрын
I think Barry have a valid reason. He isn't "new" in kitchen anymore. It's not safe time as you need to be there to cut extrude pasta and it's slow. Mixer that can knead the dough + cutter is cheap, work faster and don't have dough left. If you don't really new in kitchen and don't planned to make penne. don't buy this machine isn't a bad recommend.
@MisaMisuMajide4 жыл бұрын
put4558350 The purpose of a pasta extruder is to create shapes that can’t be created by hand. You can get pasta extruders that cut the pasta by themselves- for a small fortune. It does save time actually if used properly. The whole process is quick and efficient. Faster than using a roller. I use this machine for rigatoni, bigoli, etc etc. Which can’t be achieved by hand. If I want to make lasagna or any other flat pasta I use my hand crank pasta maker. Traditionally some pasta’s are made by hand- and some are made from an extruder.

My favourite homemade noodles are probably spätzle. There is just something about them that can't be beaten (in my mind at least), and its the one my dad would occasional do. For who don't know, Spätzle are egg-noodles, with sometimes a hint of nutmeg in the dough (otherwise egg water, some salt and flour like usual). The dough itself is.. more wet and sticky, if I had to describe it. And kneeding it is good for getting rid of some agression :p Afterwards, you either can kinda scrabe it in the pot (but my Dad could never do that), or use something that looks (can be) a potato ricer. There is a third method, but I am not quiet sure of its translation. its kinda like a mandoline for it. That is the one we use. Just cook them for a short time, they are thicker, and float to the top. You get them out and if you are fancy (be fancy), fry them up in butter. Maybe some onion.. some cheese.. Just soooo good.

Hello...this may help. Measure the flour into the larger plastic cup and level it off...dump that flour into the machine's basin...turn power on. Now, in the smaller plastic cup that comes with the machine, place your raw egg...stir it...now with that egg still in that cup..add the water to the proper level mark....Now, slowly pour that egg & water mixture through the slits/holes in the lid of the machine, again AFTER you have dumped the flour in and the flour is being mixed. Have a lightly floured pan or plate ready to receive the pasta...as the pasta is "extruded" out the "dye" (the disc thing) cut it to desired length...about 10-12 inches.The machine will stop when it's done...you may be able to set the machine on "extrude only" if that's an option if you still have dough in the machine. I have a Philips pasta maker too but the larger one...these pasta makers for home use are all basically the same. You can freeze the pasta but place it in a ridged container so it doesn't get broken into a million little pieces when it's frozen or smushed. Have you sauce of choice already before you cook the pasta. To cook pasta, bring a pot of water to a boil, then add salt (no oil)...place pasta in the pot of boiling salted water for maybe 3 to 4 minutes...Homemade pasta cooks very fast compared to the hard-dried pasta from the grocery stores. Nothing better than homemade pasta! I add in garlic granules and dried parsley when the machine is turning the pasta dough....there are any number of creative things you can come up with!

Wipe it off and see if it works . If not just reverse the spin and try wetter or dryer until it is happy . great stuff man and a great price for it too ! My lasagna die is a flat line across . The die s yall leave overnight to dry then use the brush to clean most out , then wash them .
