First chick: "I haven't been able to walk for fifteen years." Seconds later, she near effortlessly stands up and walking around without months of physiotherapy. What utter bullshit. Exactly for some people who can even take up to a year or so to be able to stand in or walk in a prosthetic, after being in a wheelchair for a few years. she’s had help before getting that prosthetic. It’s just she couldn’t afford to get it which sucks but also she could also be doing exercises as well, but that still get you so far.
@VandalieuКүн бұрын
It normally takes 7 months to a tear of constant physical therapy to get used to walking with a prosthetic as you not only need to get used to the weight and balance but you also need to strengthen your other leg that has become weak after a long time of not being used.
@mentaya1114 сағат бұрын
Verify. Now, I'm no expert, I can only state my own experience, but my grandfather had a similar prosthetic put in when his leg was amputated. He had been walking before the amputation. Within 6 months they had a prosthetic ready and were working on it. When I saw him next, he had the prosthetic and was going to physical therapy (he now lived in the center for it) daily for that leg. I never saw him walk with the ease of this woman. He died around a year after he got his prosthetic, still needing help getting out of the bed. This does not look like a woman who has not walked in any form for 15+ years.

Yes, he has 1 Jesus complex. He wants to be seen as a great guy, but he doesn't really do something for that, and also doesn't care about the people he helps, but uses them. A lot of his projects are sponsored, and it's not his money. He just takes the praise. He just gives very little of his own money to charity, and always films it. Percentage wise it's way less than the average person. Also he isn't willing to make an effort to help people. He always does the bare minimum. He pays people, and that's it. He doesn't even organize his projects properly, and just throws money around. That's why most of it is a total mess. However, the point is, he isn't honest. He isn't a good person. He is very manipulative, and having a Jesus complex is a form of narcissism. He also doesn't think, rules that apply to regular people should apply to him, and uses charity as shield. A huge part of narcissists also have a second or even third personality disorder. Most of them have an antisocial personality disorder, 70% are psychopaths and a lot of them have a borderline personality disorder. Ofc you can't diagnose someone just from YT and without meeting this person, but you can point out, he shows clear signs of certain mental health issues, and his early life also fits what can result in a personality disorder, so I agree. He isn't a good guy, he just wants people to think that

heyo, girl with missing limb here (missing right arm tho) I can 100% confirm that they do in fact take your measurements beforehand. I don't wear a prosthesis anymore both for financial reasons and beause i personally feel better without it, but they were expensive even way back. However, they basically start by molding your exact mesurements with plaster around your body where te prosthesis needs to sit, and then later on they use the plaster mold to make a proper prosthesis. They also do a couple tests to see if its comfortable and adjusted properly. So most likely they knew about it at least a month or so in advance.
@goldenlynelslayer409622 сағат бұрын

As an amputee myself, I’d like to make a point that not many people will initially get. Giving these kids a prosthetic is a wonderful gesture, no question! My only issues is that this seems like a one time thing. The issues with kids and prosthetics is that kids grow up fast. A prosthetic they may have just gotten in that video may not fit in the next three months whenever the next growth spurt comes around. Then you’ll come into the problems where either the prosthetic will not stay on or you cannot fit into the prosthetic.

You would ask a disabled person how’s it going or how are you doing, the same way you would a non disabled person. Pretty rude to assume things like that and treat people differently based off their disabilities. It actually helps people live with and better cope with their disability when you treat them with the same respect you would with anyone else. It's also very repetitive. Him thinking it would be a success just shows, he doesn't really understands the depth of Squid Games and the appeal of this show. He thinks, his show just has to be spectacular and huge and then it will be a success, and while this works with his usual, young audience, it doesn't work with adults, so his show flops.

Know how much I can pay cash to my prosthetist today and get her leg made for? Under $4k.. that was about a $2k wheelchair she was using. So she doesn’t want to walk.. and that’s not me comparing my handicap to someone else’s I’m just saying that if you live in America and WANT to walk there are people and groups that will bend over backwards to get you a leg. The only time they won’t is if they know you won’t use the damn thing.

So, I just got fitted for a Custom Made Ankle Orthotic brace literally 2 days ago. The process is very similar for me during this stage as it would be for an amputee. The process involves basically taking a mold of the limb (or stump in an amputee’s case) using the same materials used to cast broken bones. If you’ve ever had a cast before, you basically had it done, just with extra padding underneath only in this case they immediately remove it after it sets. I was told to expect it to take around 6 weeks for mine to be made but I have no idea if a prosthetic would take more time. We are told to expect the first couple versions to imperfect and to need adjustments made to them. For braces, not enough support, rubbing or chafing etc is common, and for prosthetic limbs, first time users have to learn to walk with these things which does not come naturally and takes a lot of practice and physical therapy. Adjustments often need to be made to things like height, weight and all sorts of things for each individual to make walking with their new limb more natural.

Mr. Beast had the opportunity to sell his channel for $1 billion and explore other opportunities, as the previous year has been challenging for his brand.

It is not a great thing because if the family couldn’t afford the legs from the get go, they won’t be able to afford keeping up with the maintenance on the legs, doctor bills for issues with said leg, etc. This is similar to when people are gifted a renovated home, new car, etc. This ultimately makes things harder on the family in the long haul

I’m a terrible person and the intrusive thoughts win this time but when Mr. Beast announced that video all I could think of was the South Park episode with the cripple fight combined with Beast games 😂😂😂 and now I’m sitting here realizing I’m an absolutely horrible person!

the difference between pewdiepie and mr beast. is pewdiepie was just entertaining and the growth came along the way but Mr beast is trying to be entertaining to cause growth it's a business for him and nothing is wrong with that unless you're pretending you're doing it to help people. which is the part people don't like about him.

Pewds didn't sold himself out, he just doing a white boy routine growing in UK hood. He also owned his own mistake and toned down the edginess. He didn't need the "WhOleSomEnEss PoInt"

He is objectively doing good things... even with his normal channel, even if hes doing it in a shitty way. Thats why he'll stay around.
