Awesome video Brad and Marshall! Been brewing short and shoddy since January this year and yeah it is great to get a batch of beer going in about two hours. And sometimes I even combine it with other techniques, for example I came up with a recipe for an American Light Lager where I have 42% of polenta / maize in it so I mash in, pull a decoction, put it back and then just boil the wort for 20 minutes and the beer comes out fantastic. So go for it if you already haven´t tried short and shoddy methods.

I agree with Marshall about the improvement in modern malt. That it is reducing many of the problems with brewing procedures that we often worry about needlessly now days. Cheerz.

For the longest time I thought the series was "short and Schotty", having consumed most of that content via the podcast. They probably should have went with that.

I'm not sure about how many short and shoddy methods can be used, since, the single temperature infusion method can't get any shorter or shoddy. The method is so short and shoddy that it produces distillers beer.

idea for next podcast: you should invite Marshals friends to review few fermented beverages :)

It seams to be the new moderne thing to doo, however I haven't tried it out yet, maybe in the future, I guess I have to get into terms with this. Thanks yet again for an good video session 👍

Short is one thing, but it's not shotty. When you're using RO water, brewing salt modifications, CO2 capture device, etc., it's certainly not shotty. Shotty would be tap water and standard airlock, no temp control and roll. Marshall started shotty for sure, but hasn't kept with the same means and methods.

Video starts at 2:00 mins. The first 2:00 mins is marketing, self advertising bullshit!
