no you cant do repeater mode on the same band. its a crossband repeater radio. as the name suggest only vhf to uhf and vice versa works as repeater.

yong pag ka 'bingi' has noting to do sa pag lagay ng antenna. in fact thats the very purpose of installing an antenna in a radio para 'makarinig and maka transmit'. you probably meant na ang pagka 'bingi' or sensitivity, is inherent in the design of every radio to a certain degree. even the big 3 brands (icom, kenwood, yaesu) is susceptible to this although at a very minimal rate. and the cignus compared to the big 3 brand is slightly more 'bingi' or less sensitive than them. mas superb pa rin ang rx performance ng big 3 brands. though for the price ng cignus its a great deal. at present im using it as a mobile radio in our van.

as to the mic, i am not sure if you can use a silver eagle mic on it, might need some form of modification. best to check the schematic diagram of the mic to ensure compatibility. as to cb frequencies, no it won't work with cb. this radio works on vhf and uhf (144mhz and 440 mhz). cb is 11 meter band or 27mhz. as to ssb, this radio only works on voice fm transmission. if you want to work cb frequencies then you have to get a separate radio for it, a cb radio or an hf radio.

hello. well i find that the rx sensitivity of cignus is better than the baofengs. however the top 3 name brands, icom, yaesu and kenwood still has a better (a lot better) rx sensitivity than a cignus. hope this helps 73

yes you can. though take note that its only 60% duty cycle like most mobile transciever so certain care should be done to ensure its reliability like installing a cooling fan if you are going to use it on a warm area

@@sekyuvlog oh cp-22. if its a uhf antenna, any cignus uhf radio will work with that. like the cignus cg-818 uhf. just be sure to get the uhf version. you can use a 15 to 20 ampere cignus regulated power supply for this. also tune your antenna with an swr meter. hope this helps :)

you have to exit crossband mode in order to work simplex. if you are on crossband mode, you can't use the radio to transmit via its mic.

Ryan Descalzota yes try to get an Rg8 coax cable with pPL259 connector. co axial cable or coax is the correct cable for vhf and uhf. you also need to check the swr reading of your antenna this is very important ideally it should be 1:1 reading or kahit hanggang 1:5

hi this needs a dual band antenna also. if your f718 is only uhf then you cant use it for vhf as you will have a high swr on vhf even if you tune your f718 on uhf. best to get a dual band antenna.

Norberto Lorente measurement of effective range is based on 'line of sight'. meaning if there are no obstruction between two antennas transmitting at 50 watts each theoritically puede 250km+. we experienced this before with a repeater setup at mt. sto. tomas in benguet (elevation around 7000 ft asl) contact with a manila station and beyond is possible. if there are obstructions in between, your effective communication range will greatly diminish. its a good thing you have your antenna installed on a 100ft tower as this will help.

Sir napansin ko kasi need mupa Turn ON ang Mobile Radio. By Pressing The Power Button. I there a way na automatic na ON yan. Hindi na Press ang Power Button. Kasi if Ilagay ito as Remote Repeater then Magkaroon ng Brownout. you need pa press Power Button to Reactivate.

on my wattmeter, it 60w on vhf. i dont have experience using cg818 so i can't tell which is better. main difference on the two however is the cg818 is mono band (vhf or uhf only) whereas this radio is dual band which can work both vhf and uhf.
