Something about this song make me reminisce how when I was eight me and two childhood friends took the ferry with our moms to the local island away from our city (in Canada) for a day trip. We took a bus to the centre of the city and it was a warm yet rainy spring day. I'm fortunate enough to come from a similar part of England. And everything about this song feels so incredibly close to home. The woodlands and fields look so similar to the ones just down the road from my Grandparents old house, where I grew up and played over long summers and warm autumns. I remember getting soaked in streams like the ones here with friends. And the music. The samples could be taken in my back garden. The instruments could've come from the dusty old ones in my Grandparents loft. The whole piece, music and video combined feels so immensely personal. And I adore it.
