I think R* will leverage the speed of the consoles SSD's just fine and won't need the disk for anything but installing the game. The read speed of the disk drive is too slow compared to the speed of the SSD to effectively use it to stream data off of like they did with GTA V on the PS3 and Xbox 360.

Also, the main reason to get the physical edition is for preservation. They might censor future releases of the game and pull the originals content off Digital stores like they did when the Remaster Trilogy came out, they removed so many things and took out music. Owning the physical edition insurers you have the original stuff.

I always Buy physical versions cause at least you have something to show for your money, And they can't turn your servers off. But YEH! i have every version of GTA5 Well i have all the GTA's I was well impressed at GTA5 on the XBOX 360, I didn't notice any slow down at all, It may not have been 60pfs But it wasn't Laggy or nothing, it was quite smooth to be honest. Both the 360 and PS3 were way ahead of there time, Great consoles even today. It's hard to Believe just how well they got it to run, I have the halo XBOX 360 with 2 controllers, The good OLD days of gaming Mate, Thanx for the update on GTA6, Very interesting pall.

That's an oxymoron. The acronym DLC actually is "DownLoadableContent" if it was physical, and not "downloadable" then it wouldn't be digital anymore would it? Games stopped arriving to us completed on disc with the introduction of the ps3/360.

A total non issue with today's consoles, hard drive and ram speeds have increased 10 fold, not to mention that the physical game will probably come on multiple discs. Most games now just contain minimal data and you end up having to download 90% of the game anyway. Bit of a pointless video really.
