I am a beginner to woodwork, the main test I have with this bundle kzbin.infoUgkxTNB_zFBSnTo_O1PqfVUwgi7ityw0JlKt is that I think that its hard to settle on a choice of the plan and outline to use as there are a large portion of them there. Nonetheless, I like the simple stride to step directions laid out there.

Hey Dude! Really enjoyed the video! Even though your attempted solution was creative, I would try to revisit your bath plumbing to avoid any kink in the plumbing line. The metal jacketed hose in the faucet has a rubber inner-hose. If it is kinked, stretched too much or twisted, it can weaken the inner rubber hose. Each time water goes through that tight area, it creates a lot of pressure and the pipe flexes. This is like bending a garden hose back and forth constantly in one area. Over time it will weaken the integrity of the hose and at some point could fail. A possible simple fix is to build a little pedestal for the faucet to sit on. This will give you more space to avoid kinks and no need to bust up more concrete to fix. Hope this helps, all the best! :)

Nice work. For people outside the USA like me is so surreal the fact that the walls in many American homes, including multimillion ones are built from a material that can be cut with a knife. Also, most homes are built from wood, not reinforced concrete, even in many hurricane prone zones.

Searching for 2 DAYS for a guide video as I am DOING THIS SAME THING already ripped out jacuzzi tub~ I'm going from right handed to center drain on concrete slab... if I was not so picky I should have gotten a square freestanding tub and use da flat P trap with flexible pipe.. but no had to try and be ooohhh sooo fancy, atleast now I have some sort of guidance!! WISH ME LUCK or see if I trade in the fancy tub for a freestanding square tub.

It's beautiful! Btw, @ 16:50 I totally understand that frustration. I planned ahead and was able to see that the waterline that came with the faucet comes down 4-5 inches and CANNOT be retracted upward. When I saw that I banded my head on this for awhile before realizing that I just needed to allow my waterlines to go up and down. Just needed to tie strings/wires to prevent it from dropping and not pull it back up.

So in the video I noticed your on ground level..(I think) I have a tub in second story that I want to replace with a Free standing soaker, should my floor support already be strong enough for the narrower footprint of a filled tub than the tub that’s like yours? Probably a dumb question…
@WickedWayz812 жыл бұрын
I love your videos, and have learned a lot more. Usually, I like you overall idea, but I think you went in two different directions. Tub and faucet fit in with the existing bathroom, and new tile and say clean, modern. New window trim says old school, Victorian, classy, but clashes with everything else in my opinion. Maybe going with a look in between the old window trim and new would have been better. Just my opinion that I thought I'd share. At the end of the day, you and your family own it, and live in it. So it's your choice of what it looks like.

@@MrBuildit I just dealt with this exact issue with my bathroom that’s slab on grade. For rough in, we ran pex inside insulation from the manifold to the tub faucet but didn’t connect the pex to the manifold in the wall until we got it flush at the tub faucet. Then we cut the pex and connected it to the manifold and it was the right length without causing those kinks that the faucet trim covered

Cost breakdown makes your work just superior. It always looks great.....but I like your footing in reality on the cost. Hats off to you for truly 'keeping it real'. That base of that faucet is brutal! Would be great on a second floor.....with access from below. I wonder if sleeving water lines to j box in the wall would be the way to do it next time. Make the coupling, pull extension lines into a wall j box as you set the faucet, then connect in the j box in the wall. Very cool that you conveyed the challenge of it.
