Ride1Up REVV 1 & C3Strom Astro Pro - Owning & Riding Both

I pulled the trigger on the Rev1. I wanted the dual tires, full suspension and I like the design. I guess Ride1 is shipping with a new carrier. I only live 700 miles from warehouse and it’s going to take roughly 3 weeks from order and delivery. 16 days from shipment notice. Hopefully there isn’t a scratch on the bike. Not sure how waiting almost 3 weeks is going to work from a business standpoint.

I own the C3STORM Astro Pro and someone as already put A another battery and parallel with the one on the bike they used the back bracket to mount it am going to do the same thing to my C3STORM you get a lot more rang there's a bike shop in New Jersey am in Philadelphia so am have them do it

i have not been on the x class yet but just going off looks the revv 1 to me looks better. but the x clas might have more accessories and parts due to being out longer

You'll have to see a freego shotgun f3. The Freego F1 is not really much to write home about but maybe that dual battery dual suspension and dual motor F3 Pro will be a bit faster and something people might like. Looks like dual 750 motors with peaks over 1,000. Nobody has done anything on it yet. Listing at like $2,500 .. Everything might be junk cheap components. We can see as they get shipped out.

Rev1 takes the w for sure. At 30 mph and for 2.6k$, you need suspension! Not a fan of how it lacks a mod friendly design. There’s so much space under the battery to fit a second aftermarket battery but the frame design prevents that.

for the C3STROM, You cou could put a huge Battery Smack dab in the middle of the frame. 😁. if they put springs under the seat it would be Perrrfect! but still my favorite Design, torque feel and brakes. 😌😎

I honestly would do the strom all day long. To me it seems better than the 1 up. Suspension is not a game changer at all. 2 the gearing on the crank and cassette. head lites can be changed out. I think the strom material and workmanship is better quality.

Got an important question man, I recently lost my license and am looking for something to scoot around on with some speed that’s legal. Was about to pull the trigger on the revv1, but I noticed in the vid you said you had to put in your drivers license # to unlock “off road” mode. Does that mean I wouldn’t be allowed to unlock it because I don’t have a valid license? Please get back when you can, appreciate it. Keep up the great reviews my dude!

This things awesome! better than I imagined such a smooth and comfortable ride man! Still waiting to get off-road unlocked, been 2, will be 3 days tomorrow I’ve been waiting for reply. Does the Revv1 weigh more than the C3? That might be the reason why one accelerates faster and the other one has a higher top speed.

I would have the tape measure out and take the best of both bikes and make one really good bike. Are the dropouts in the front and back the same? If the dropout in the rear is the same what to stop you from using the rear wheel setup with gears on the Ride1up. Same thing with the cranks controller and anything else on the two bikes. If you got the C3Strom for free what an another $5k to $6k bike? you already have a ton of money into other bikes already.

Even if they use the same controllers, there's probably some proprietary tuning going on with Ride1Up and C3Strom that would explain some of the differences in the acceleration and stuff. Similar to how in the FPV drone world, you could fly identical quadcopters that handle completely different because the owners went into Betaflight and custom tuned them. I'm actually hoping some open source project like that comes out for ebikes/PEVs. It would be a game changer. Like a more universal version of that one you were using to tune the Zooz.

The C3Strom looks so much smaller, like it’s for 5’6” people. That and no rear suspension makes it a hard NO for me.

Adding a rear suspension to the C3Strom would be the alltimate upgrade! And while I understand most people don't buy these types of bikes to peddle, having that nice pedaling option is one more pro for this bike over the Revv1. Awesome twist grip for changing gears. I'm hearing that the comfort and functionality for pedaling on the Revv1 is sketchy, at best. I wish it wasn't soooo bad.

Even if the two bikes have the same power levels in the controller(eg 25 Amps), the throughput of the batteries can be different. Sometimes a BMS in a battery can limit the current allowed.
