i really loved how people who took longer on a level took longer in the video, like the way you edited the different footages together felt so authentic to the actual timeline, and different people started the next level at different times for some lovely overlap of the story. instead of having everyone clear one floor and everyone moving on to the next. idk it was a really nice touch

The monster will be more creepy, if: He won't run, just slowly walk at you. But his walk speed will be very high because of long legs. And won't do that funny things with his hands.(Exemple of walking:Monster from "School level of backrooms" by nazzy) When he is crouching, he will have ~2 second animation of how monster change from crouching to walking. If monster can't detect you, if he won't see you. But if you walk/run(exception: crouching), monster will detect you. Sorry for my English, I'm sure it's bad.

Eh, I disagree. There's too much of that in horror, everything nowadays is all 'slow encroaching spooky'. Which is great, make no mistake, but sometimes the big scary monster does really want to kill your ass and is gonna run you down lol. Both are valid and I appreciate the novelty of this.

The quick deadly aggressive style is also really good, it keeps you on your toes, too much of the jumpscare(bluff)/eerie style could encourage a bit of confidence in the player. So what's why it's good to balance it, and have these chase scenes that have a mixture of bluff and I'll literally kill you if your not quick enough type shi.

as of now, personally think it's pretty fine HOWEVER: Its movement is alot like an actual player, the way it instantly crouches like someone simply hitting shift and unshifting when it's done. watching the monster chase people from 3rd perspective, the speed of the run does not match its actual speed making it look pretty goofy and comical. For the first the few stings the monster really packed an oomph but only really, for those first bits. As well as the monster having somewhat limited animations, looking to be only standing, running (walking?) and climbing out of the ground which is terrifying. But the scenes where caboodle was hiding just behind a wall and the monster was behind it could've been so much better had it not just been... Standing there doing nothing and occasionally bursting into full sprint. But it was an interesting thing to see happen and could've been played out more, much more interesting than "Run, now." for the youtube content, having that snappy fast pace action is good to keep audience retention but I sort of hated how fast pace it was like everything was handed to them, but holy shit did the cutscenes take me by surprise. but the backrooms in essence is all about creating suspense, creating the loneliness and emptiness that comes from wandering an endless liminal space. The fear of not being alone stems from the fear of being truly alone. I mean you can sort of compare it to r4t's backrooms/poolrooms where you can just get lost or wander for hours before that final level hits with a bang. both? both. both is good.

Fans of the concept made backrooms spin-offs, creating new "levels", assigning them numbers, and adding exits to said levels, treating it as a game or quest³. These are often made collaboratively by a community as a whole. Depending on which backrooms community you find yourself in, you will find many differences between them, from something as trivial as level numbers to entire levels being omitted or replaced. You should make a slide option, and add the movement mod to your game so players can slide. Per example: The monster spawns in in a large hallway (structure) and you need to run to the end to slide underneath some blocks to escape the chase 😱

11:05 backrooms mods for minecraft are never lore accurate. so dont worry. for example. level 0 isnt suppose to have any monsters. nor are people suppose to encounter each other in it. many people can be in level 0 at the same time. but they will never encounter each other, because technically the others dont even exist.

Level 0 is where it's only you, no entity, and no other people can exist, except you. Level 1 is where there is an entity, and people can be there at the same time as you. The transition between Level 0 to Level 1 is very seamless in the Frontrooms. Edit: Level 1 is also the parking garage.
