Ooohhh I love a travel day, and nice you didn’t have any lift issues this trip 😮 DLP is soooo pretty and I absolutely loved the 30th anniversary show, and I love Phantom Manor in DLP 😊 the restaurant looked lovely and food looked delicious and it was nice to see the Travel day shirt out and about, I thought he was only allowed on planes 🤣🤣

We’re currently staying at the centre parcs les villages nature - first experience of Disneyland Paris. It’s honestly bought pure joy to our whole family and now I want to collect pins, the different Minnie ears and all the loungefly mini rucksacks 😂😂

Great vlog. I love trading at Pablo’s- they make sure the pins are real (unlike on lanyards and in wdw). I think it now opens week days too but only the trade board usually comes out at about 2pm.

Thanks JK! Enjoy SF! We had jet lag when we went. (We drive down the PCH from there) We ended up missing out on doing lots of things in SF because we’re we’re asleep by 6pm for the three days we were there! 🤦🏼‍♂️ And a Sequoia Lodge is great - we’ve stayed in the ‘cabins’ and main hotel. But just being at DLP is great no Mayer where you stay sunny it! Enjoy your trip and hope you enjoy the 30th celebrations! You must do the Lion King show and the Marvel drone show! X

I’d be driving from where you live either via tunnel or Portsmouth ferry. Outside peak school holidays the crossing wouldn’t be much more than your London car parking, but then I guess you miss the London show. That meal price compared to a €25 awful looking burger and fries in the new ‘pub’ in village looked reasonable price. Gr8 vlog

True Alan, however I (I) don’t want to drive a right hand drive on a left hand road, nor have to think about charging en route! Sometimes just want to be the passenger and look out the window! The food quality was wonderful - if we’d paced ourselves during the day (we had the Leon breakfast: they gave us a bagged breakfast snack on the train; we also had a sandwich from Pret A Manger) then we could have eaten even more in the evening. Also suspect that if you love seafood you could have eaten pretty close the value of that dinner ticket from that section alone. Thanks ever so much for watching!

I was there from saturday to thursday a few doors away from your room, our room was filthy and smelled really bad, this was our third stay and I’m extremely disappointed, we had too keep the window open all the time. We also felt cramped as a family of four. Would love to try other Disney hotels in the future but I’m kind of unsure now.

Oh no Alessandra that’s awful. Our room had cobwebs (which we found later into our trip) but thankfully wasn’t smelly. IT’s disappointing that they didn’t resolve the issue for you. We had a stay at Sequoia where the communal area of one of lodges block smelt a bit drainy. We hope that your next experience, wherever it might be, is way better. X

Thanks Lovelies! From June they end the direct train for at least a year (that’s when border forces start implementing photo and finger printing like you get in the US for countries outside the EU... and the station at DLP isn’t big enough and the expense of implanting it is too high, so no more direct trains 😢) So we’ll have to fly or go via Paris or Lille next time - which will make for a whole new exciting adventure! We always stay at that Hub when we use Heathrow and I like the breakfast as I'm not much of a meat eater. The restaurant looked lovely, especially the creamy chicken, I don't think you can buy a Capon in the UK anny more. Have a lovely weekend.

I’ve stayed twice at Newport Bay it’s such a lovely hotel. I read that when it was built it was the biggest hotel in Europe. One of the stays was at Christmas and we paid extra and had a Christmas tree and decorations and presents in the room. We enjoyed the buffet ( we had ours as part of the meal plan those were the days). What I didn’t know was there was a coffee machine and kettle in the fake cupboard. I rang down and borrowed a kettle. 🫣

As always super fab vlogs from you! My boyfriend and I are going in May, and it's his first trip. I know he is more relaxed about going after I introduced him to the the two of you and your DLP vlogs! You are the perfect guides 💗 We have gone mad, and done the full board meal plan. We got such a good deal on our room, so it was basically free, if yiu look at the room prices now. Well at least that's what I like to tell myself hehe. But was wondering: for the buffet restaurants, what time in the evenings are a bit quiter in your experience? Hej Rune - how exciting that you’re going in May - and even more exciting that you have the meal plan! On our first trip we had the dining plan and we chose our restaurants based on getting the highest value meals ! That did mean we had lunch at the Auberge du Cindrillon... but we hadn’t banked on ‘face characters’ and having to speak to a host of prince and princesses including Snow White. Definitely got tongue tied when she asked in her squeaky voice what our favourite part of her story was. She was somewhat taken about when I (I) replied, “when you come good in the end”. 🤦🏼‍♂️ Had to quickly clarify I meant when everything worked out fine for her. Was slightly mortified as her initial reaction was shock and horror - pretty sure they don’t account for that expected response at Snow White school. So if you do decide to rinse your dining at the Inn of Snow White be mindful of the interactions! It’s an interesting question about when is least busy. If you look in the app now and see what’s available till probably find many of the restaurants are already booked up (we’re assuming you know that if you book with Disney then you can book your dining already - it’s only if you’re not booked with them that you have to wait til 60 days out ... at least that’s we we’ve found on the last three trips). So we think there will be less popular restaurants (that you can get a booking in the app on the day or at least when you start your trip) that will naturally be less busy. Our dinner at Cape Cod was early. Around 6pm. But most tables seemed to being used. But the line to check in was only about 4 people ahead of us. When we left there was a huge line of people waiting to get in. So it would feel busier. As it’s a buffet they can’t know how long people will stay, so that must impact on how long you wait time is at checkin. Even if you have a reservation at 8pm there may not be a table at that time for you because people dining earlier may be taking their time. And people with earlier reservations might still be in the line ahead of you to check in 🤷🏼‍♂️ Our 7pm Downtown reservation had no line to check in. And there were empty tables in the restaurant- so not sure if they hold tables back and are still limiting the numbers of people in or whether they hold tables back for potential walk-ins. Either way it wasn’t busy and it didn’t seem to be crazy busy even when we left after 8pm. We assume that families with small kids might eat earlier (especially the British) but our European mainlander cousins culturally eat later so there must be a sweet spot during the evening when the British have gone and the mainlanders have yet to arrive... and given that the restaurants are open til 10pm then your suggestion of 8pm might work out ok. Also depends when the fireworks are on and what time the park closes. Basically we have no idea! We have learnt from experience that Disney says are tiring so eating Kate for us doesn’t work as we’re usually too tired to enjoy it so we go for early dining so we can get back to the room and put our feet up and rest them and sleep as we have to be up early for extra magic time! (We also tend to eat lots and that’s not good just before sleep either!) Whatever you decide we hope you get some great options booked in - and remember if something isn’t available then speak to concierge when you arrive as they keep some back for hotel guests. X

@@MrDavidMrIan Love that Snow White anecdote!! Epic! Character dining is not our jam, but now I want to do it just to throw them off a bit hahaha! Yes, booked tables ages ago, such a perk of staying on site, so we got Remy's, Walt's, Jack's, Pym's, Hunter's (twice!!! Love that one!), Manhattan and Cape Cod. Downton is on the list for our next trip tho! The 17th of May is the Norwegian Constitutional Day, so we will be extra fancy with Walt's and Manhattan (heard mixed things, but it looks nice for a crisp shirt kinda date), then Champagne in front of the castle for fireworks 🥳 Such a good point regarding early dinner and then feet up! We like to EAT, so late dindins might not be to clever after all. And it is a holiday too, so chill evenings are a must. Since we are there for 5ish park days, we have plenty of time to relax too. @@Rune_Nilssen Hunters was coming up as an option when we looked while we were on the last trip, which suggests that it won’t be busy as it’s not a sell out, so will be interested to hear if that’s the case. We tried Manhattan on the October trip. We didn’t film it. The food was ok. I think we both chose badly (although David only had one dairy free option - which is fine and not a complaint). The room was lovely however as a party of two we were sat on the round seat in the middle under the amazing chandelier. The challenge with that is that you’re the very close to the other parties of two either side of you. So for us that was a bit awkward as you hear everyone’s conversation. We will return at some point but it has put us off for now - especially because Downtown suits us better. You dining itinerary sounds amazing - you do know that you’re setting a very high precedent for the other half’s first visit!! He’s going to expect this next time too !!

@@MrDavidMrIan Yeah, been to Hunters before and it's quite chill. And very tasty!! Pluss we are staying at Sequoia, so very practical. Know it's a tired resort, but the 80s kid in me just LOVE it 😄 Ate at Yacht Club on our last trip, wich I guess is similar to Manhattan in it's "fine" dining concept. The service there was superb, but the food var soooo bland. But then again, fine dining food often is kinda bland as rich oeople are usually very boring hehe. Will ask for a table with more pivacy then, since the instagrammable chandelier tables seem a bit crowded. My experience is that if you ask for a quiet table, they usually can accommodate. Might also skip the set menu, and use my meal plan voucher for something from the ala carte menu. We will see My man would be perfectly happy with turkey legs and ribs from the Cookout all week, so for our next trip I think we will try the quick service ones, cause all I've ever done are the table service and buffet ones. Will go again when Arendelle is open, so hopefully some new eateries to choose from and maybe some updated menus! But we got such a good price for our hotel package this trip, that with full board it still comes in UNDER what the room price is now. So I have convinced myself the full board meal plan is "included" in the price. Mught stay off site next time too. And spend some time in Paris and the region. Dunno yet.

@@Rune_Nilssen Whaaaat? There is an a la carte menu at Manhattan?? They only offered us the set menu! Flipping 'eck! The bar in Hotel New York [Skyline] was lovely. Opens at 5pm, often a line to get a table, but it was lovely [great bar food too]. And weve stayed a couple of times at Sequoia and loved it both times. If you find yourself hungry but not wanting a full dinner then the bar does a sandwich and crisps option... its big enough for two and a decent meal if you get hangry!

The Hub looks pretty good for the price! The room tour of NPB was great, it’s been a long time since we have stayed there and forgot how pretty it is. Pueblos Trading Post is our favourite shop in the parks! We did a whole video on pin trading, it is such a magical part of Disney. Genie pins 🧞‍♂️ 😍
