Thank you kindly Simon, I was fortunate enough to be taken to many places in the Pennines as a schoolboy rider by some great people from Todmorden Wheelers. I now just want to share this passion back for others to enjoy who may be new or old to this fantastic sport. It's the highlight of the week for me n' Mike and we don't class ourselves as KZbinrs either. It's all a bit of fun and great to look back on 👍

Well just as I needed cheering up, you two come along with another ride. 😀 After crashing over 3 weeks ago at 31mph at a roundabout in Blackburn, I’m still off the bike for at least another 3 weeks. This vid really really cheered me up, but also made me realise what I’m missing, and all because I didn’t slow down enough and got carried away with speed. A very financial and painful experience. However I’d rate this as one of your best vids, especially the “outtakes” between you and Mike at the end, as it really added a sense of “realism” about you both rather than just “filming” a ride. Thank you Mike for cheering me up and thank you Daz for taking the time to film your ride, friendship and laughter. Great stuff 😀👍

Hi Steve, I hope you are on the mend and looking forward to the warmer days ahead. There's a lot of stuff that goes on during a ride that we can't put in these videos and then it's also a case of looking at how to use the material to keep the flow of the video going. I will be getting the Raleigh bike out soon , can't wait ....

Hi Andy, one of my colleagues had his wedding reception in Slaidburn, it's location is second to none, especially on a warm summer's day. You have a lot of options if you are planning a ride in this area, in particular the Cross of Greet, which is a cracking climb that loops around to Hornby and Lancaster where you can then do the Trough climb back over Dunsop Bridge. Let me know how you get on 👍

@@MrDazP1adv3ntures Yeah I've done the circuit from Settle to Slaidburn, over the Trough and north again round past Wray: 100k: fabulous. There's also Salter Fell on the gravel bike. But I'm going to try a Clitheroe area start. Cafes look great!

Hi daz how’s it going pal. Thanks for another great video with some top lanes and quick descents . That is great to hear buddy. If that was me it would have been a two hour ride and two and a half hours in the bike shed after - cleaning the damn thing to within an inch of it's life. All is good at this end, It's fence painting season right now at home as the lighter nights offer an extension to the day's work. Hopefully I can get the balance right with about 25 miles per day commuting and fence painting until it's too dark to continue. I reckon by the weekend it will be all done ! I was prospecting the Rawthey on the A683 the other week and saw a cyclist on a bike similar to the one that resembled what you have described. I thought to my self, is that 252 Scooby ? Interestingly, I also saw a group of ladies on the Kirkby Stephen rd and asked where they had been. "Orton" they shouted out. I said, " I know a good cafe there" ....

I remember passing you on the way to St Michael's that day, (in the car of course). The main road Catterall to St Michael's A6 and A586 is an absolute disgrace at the moment , one bend B4 you get to St Michael's is almost unrideable at the moment (due to be resurfaced in April).We are running out of road!
@MrDazP1adv3ntures9 ай бұрын
I can remember the comments you shared at the time Terry. Think we were just off a back lane that brought us into St Michael's on Wyre. And as for the roads, OMG they are becoming attrociace ! Surely our government should be ploughing money back into the places where people need it on a daily basis. One pothole could cause tens of thousands of pounds worth of damage to all the vehicles that hit it.
