French Trains and TGV / West Countryside 2

Train spotting afternoon near Angers under a very windy and rainy weather. Some shots are taken by GoPro on the tracks, tell me in comments what you think of it. TGV, freight and TER near Angers.

Fantastic to see how cargo trains and TGV's can operate on the same track and the TGV was pretty fast

The cargos didn't go as fast as the tgv since of its weight or locomotive

Great video! It’s cool to see such a mixture of train traffic on the same line. TGV, intercity/commuter trains and even freight moving at a fast clip! The fastest freights we have in the US and Canada are only good for 80 MPH but what we lack in speed we make up for in train length and size. I’m a dispatcher for a freight railroad in Massachusetts, I’m curious what the Blinking Green Signal at 5:10 means as opposed to the solid Green aspect at 5:30

Thank you for your comment ! The fastest freight train we have here in France is an over night freighter that goes from South of France to Rungis grocery market carrying fresh fruits and vegetables. This train takes the TGV line in the middle of the night at 200 km/h once a day. As for the blinking Green signal I have no idea what it means unfortunately.

How fast do the trains go here? That first TGV went pretty fast, clearly quite faster than the others.

It is not a high speed line, thus no faster than 200 km/h I suppose.
