No everyone has short attention spans. I like the long ones cause I listen to them to relax or when im sleeping so the longer the better. Also most shows are 22 mins to 45 mins plus when people are doing streaming the longer the streams the more you stream the better. I think people will and they do appreciate longer videos more and more. I get a kick out of the mind set of people complaining about how long a video are. People talking about 30 mins being long lol... I mean it takes 5 mins to get the intro done with what is in the imp.... people need to learn how to focus and appreciate the process. everything is not a rush.

Thanks to you, your daughter and Matt for reviewing Canadian IMP"s. Brings back some "flavourful" memories! Most of our fighting vehicles had "boiling vessels" which cooked up our Rats. When hauling a toboggan we carried a stove. My favourite was to boil up the entree (aka chipotle chicken). add the starch to the entree packet( aka chicken rice) and lay on the spices. The fruit package(aka mango peach) could be added to the mix or saved for later. When we were "tactical" we ate everything cold, when the opportunity availed itself. The sports drink could be hot or cold, depending on the season. Food is the ultimate equalizer, you are what you eat. Thanks again for sharing.

The US wouldn't have that rice in an MRE because it isn't ready to eat. Unlike most armies, the US soldier doesn't get an issue stove on which he can boil water. Canadians do, and that's why the entree bag is boilable. Good work as always, KD. My best to the Boss.

The reason there is no heating in it, all platoons have 2 pressure cookers. What my unit did was open all our IMPs before leaving barracks to take out the main entree, then taping them back up then 15 min before meal times someone cooks 20ish packs per cooker for the platoon.

As a Canadian, quite liked this one. However, it's always baffled me how alot of these rations have items made in other countries and always wondered why. Our military does not suck. Do your research. The Canadian Armed Forces is very well trained and we excel in a lot of fields because where we lack in technology and a large amount of soldiers, we make up for in extremely good training. Also we have a lot more then 2 bases, we have 38 to be exact. So no our army is does not suck and it is good for a country our size.

So very Canadian, having that feedback slip for soldiers. As a US citizen, I mean that with the utmost sincerity. It's actually really awesome.

Canada has flameless ration heaters but they are issued separately. The Canadian army uses Coleman naptha camping stoves, so ration heaters are not usually needed.

The reason there was so much sauce is likely because it was intended to be put over the rice. After mixing, it would probably be easier to make something reasonable with the tortillas.

+BigMikeOregon Yea sounds about right lol,was wondering why he didnt put the rice in it :)

FYI: We do have flameless ration heaters, but they are issued separately as many personnel have access to a Coleman naphtha 2-burner stove to heat their food (especially in winter). This cuts down on waste of the heater packs. They're also designed for the width of our entree packs. Also, I made mention of this on gundog4314's channel, but here's a pro tip for the rice or instant potatoes: fold the foil pouch at the fill line. This will score the inside of the pouch so you can easily add the correct amount of water. Then give rice a stir before letting stand. As you saw the seasoning usually settles out to the bottom. (I've eaten waaaay too many of these over the last 20+ years)

About the spoon, of course American MREs have the tear notch at the top...but when I was in the Army I turned the pouches on their side and used a knife to cut it open. shorter distance for the spoon and a bigger pouch opening to eat from.
