This is why having an android phone is so beneficial. I use it mainly for purposes like this. I plug in this optical drive and play my cd music to my stereo and boom, plays fine! While my iphone is my main phone to use. Along with my ipad for games. Don't know why people can't just buy both and get all the benefits they provide.

I'm pretty sure that the only reason why it didn't work the first time is because Android doesn't support CDFS by itself. It makes sense since doing that, maybe, is a bit redundant for most people. But i might be wrong.

printing is possible, i worked as a sales a long time ago on a -pretty-famous printer brand and it is able to print from smartphone device with otg cable, you need to use an app though, but if your printer support wifi connection it'd be easier

The DVD drive has two usb cable One for extra power and the other (one pluged into phone) for data my question is can you plug a power bank to the other usb cable which isnt being used will it charge the phone aswell?

I guess no. coz the power is for DVD drive and current is flowing from phone to DVD not the other. Even if we connect the powerbank it ll add to the power of DVD drive not the phone. :)

Sam Taylor hi can you help me cos I am not good about this stuff. now I don't know if I should buy a laptop or tablet. I would only be buying a laptop so I can rip cds to transfer to my phone. but if I can rip cd on a tablet I would rather get a tablet. so dose this work on tablets. what should I buy

Tina Kelly Your better off getting a laptop it would be alot easier to burn to pc which would give you a Mp3 file etc something you might want to try before buying a hole laptop just to do it is to go to a paper printer shop which sometime do CD ripping (just bring a USB 8gb 16gb or 32gb drive) with you or if they wont just a nice computer repair shop might be nice and do it for free, but a tablet wouldnt do it to be honest. Hope this helps (I work in a electronics shop feel free to ask anymore Questions) :D

Yes, It Works, But When I connected DVD-Drive to phone, My phone typed "This device request external power supply" From 90% Battery was down to 0 and phone was shuting down. /My English is not good, sorry 😉
