Autel MaxiCheck Pro first impressions

Unboxing, first look and quick test of #Autel MaxiCheck Pro diagnostic tool designed to service common systems in your car like DPF, ABS, SRS, EPB, SAS, BMS and reset service reminders.
On top of that you can use it as a generic OBD2 scanner to quickly check engine faults, clears codes, and reset Check Engine light.
I checked if I can see advanced data of the DPF in my BMW E87 with N47 engine. In future videos I will cover DPF regeneration in BMW as well as other service and maintenance procedures with this device. Stay tuned!

I can't confirm that since I don't have access to S1 to try it, but I would be surprised if it didn't work. Reseting inspection reminder is a "must" for any advanced diagnostic tool. Especially in VAG cars.

I own this Maxicheck. does it do OBDII well or should I buy a Foxwell nt301? REason I ask is that when I first bought it, I was told it does so so in reading general codes. Its main use is for special applicaitons such as air bag and ABS. Currently, my Lincoln failed emissions. They said NOT I/M ready. I drove it for months and still not I/M ready. Was wondering if this machine can find out why or should I buy the Foxwell NT301?

Generic OBDII standard is so simple to implement that each and every device that I tested was reading and clearing those code without a problem. The only issue that I had with some devices was refresh rate due to low CPU power of the device.

I purchased the unit and although I think it works well, I have 3 major complaints. 1. Unit is supposed to be portable and yet they put it in a humungus blow molded case! A nylon case would be much better! 2. No power adapter (but you can use usb to power it) 3. The abs live data comes out in a large font and is in Alphabetical order and you don't have the ability to choose a custom live data list as you can in the OBDII live data section. The problem with this is that if you want to monitor all 4 abs wheel speed sensors at the same time, you can't, you have to scroll! Other than that - it does as advertised.

Well, it's not designed for personal use. I think that it will pay for itself after 4 or 5 DPF regenerations pr battery registrations.

At least this unit appears to have access screws at the back to take it apart for unknown reasons.
