How to install M.I.B. - More Incredible Bash for #MIB2 based infotainment system - tool for customization, #patch, FEC/SWaP insertion, feature enabling (MapCare, AndroidAuto, CarPlay), Video-In-Motion restriction removing, navigation maps license installation, region conversion, SVM error fixing in Audi, Seat, Skoda, VW, Porsche, Bentley cars.
ℹ️ Check in REM first what's your SW Train.
Only MHI2 and MHI2Q will allow installation of this tool.
Supported firmwares: VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda, Porsche, Bentley with MHI2 and MHI2Q - (MIB2 High) infotainment systems (Audi MMI 4G, VW Discover Pro, Seat Navi, Skoda Columbus, Porsche PCM4.0). This tutorial was shot in Audi Q7 4M but it's not limited to it.

ℹ️ Preparation
You need a good quality SD card, 4GB capacity or more, formatted with FAT32 file system.
Don't use macOS. It creates hidden files which can cause problems during installation.
Make sure that your cars battery is charger and in good condition. You can also perform this procedure with engine running, just to be safe.
ℹ️ #DIY M.I.B. installation procedure
1. Download latest release of the M.I.B. - More Incredible Bash from mib.mibsolution.one/ or project git repository.
2. Format an SD card with FAT32 file system.
3. Extract downloaded package to the root directory of the SD card. Safely remove the card when it's done.
4. Insert SD card in SD1 port, turn on infotainment system in your car.
5. Enter REM (Red Engineering Menu) or hidden update menu in your car and start the update/installation procedure. System will reboot 2 times during this procedure. Do not disturb the procedure and wait patiently. It will take up to 5 minutes.
6. When the installation is done, you need to confirm it, next cancel documentation. Unit will reboot one final time.
7. When system restarts you can enter GEM (Green Engineering Menu) to access new M.I.B. menu.
ℹ️ M.I.B. installation will automatically enable developer mode which is required to enter GEM. You don't need OBDeleven or VCDS to enable it manually.
ℹ️ M.I.B. will not be available if the SD card is not present in the SD1 port. Make sure that the card is inserted before accessing M.I.B.
⚠️ Create backup before changing anything. Backup will be stored on the SD card.

Hi, I have a 2015 Audi TT with the following train version: MHI2_ER_AUG24_S0530 MU Soft: 0139 I've ran the M.I.B2 SD Card update successfully, but cannot access the green menu with the key combination. Checking the logs, it would appear that i get a lot of "Memory Fault (core dumped)" messages. Googling this and looking on your wiki sugests it is an out of date firmware. I downloaded the latest firmware for the TT from your website, but when i try to install it i receive an error message saying that the train is blocked. What am i doing wrong?

Thanks. Is this tool solve this problem? We have a problem about map installing. We also watched your MIB update and did it, it works. And then we try to update the map and we faced with "No valid update data were found on the medium" error. When we install this tool can we activate personal options of map update? For example we have only one map licence code on the medium and we think it includes only our country. Maybe we should chose only our country's options when we try to update the map.

In the above video, you mentioned some systems get the green menu with only the software. I have exactly the same MHI2Q version. Is it because my car is a Q5 and not Q7, that is why it's not working? While using the button combination, it directly takes me to maps and nothing happens even holding for 10 seconds. The red menu works fine with combination shown.

Thank you, the green menu combination worked. According to another forum, i selected the option "patch_ifs_root_aio" from green menu to fix FEC codes map updates. I'm still not getting the maps update to work, it says "no valid update data found on the medium". I have all the activation codes legal including one of them starting with 023. could you please help me how to get the 2022/23 maps to work.

Before selecting this option you need to download patch package (around 400MB) and place it on the SD card. Only the patching can be done successfully.

Is there a way to only update the FEC codes for maps instead of running the "patch_ifs_root_aio", as I already have the wired carplay functionality. I want to keep my software updates to a minimum if possible. Also please let me know if there is a way to convert my wired carplay to wireless using a software update. There are adapters online which make this happen however prefer if there is a software fix.

One of the first methods required D-Link ethernet adapter. It's not required anymore. SD card is enough.

However, after installing the new firmware, there are two entries of 023000ee and one is illegal. How do i get rid off the illegal activation code? Is there a way using the GEM menu without purchasing the OBDeleven tool?
