I think you nailed it with the A Ma’s taking away from my liking these as much as I would have. As now they’ve both been out for a few months & these are growing on me more & more and honestly I’m starting to like them more than the A Ma’s somehow now that I’ve just seen those so much.

The bright white contrast with this shade of burgundy is what I think makes it miss the mark slightly, I agree with other commenters that it should have been a sail or cream colour. My first thought when I saw these is that they’ll look better once they’re worn and aged a bit.

I do like these a fair amount , I have a lot of time for Bordeaux / Burgundy and a lot of colorways that feature such colors. A friend of mine copped these and I was surprised with the quality of the materials on this pair after seeing them and handling them first hand. I do agree with Foamer on this one I think the silver swoosh against the white on this particular pair is throwing it off and holding the potential on these back a bit. Though I have to concur with some others saying so in the comments the white laces definitely improve the look on these imo (also having seen that change in person). Not a must have for me but not bad at all.

Well 2016 was the best year for Jordan 1’s. I hope quality on 1’s for 2022 improves because 2021 was one of the worst: Patina, Volt, Fusion, JBalvin and the worst of all was the Prototype 1’s. That’s 5 of the ugliest Jordan 1’s ever made and all dropped in 2021! Probably Volt and even electric orange 1’s I could wear but why not Retro Chicago 1’s , SBB 1.0’s and Bred with OG High cut? The best 1’s have to be the 85’ OG high neutral grey 1’s , smoke grey 1’s, biohacks, hyper royal, & university 1’s. Last year the Tokyo Japan CO Midnight Navy from 11/14/2020 we’re almost as nice as these Bordeaux 1’s 🔥🔥🔥🔥
