Hey you two, Just finished watching Western Walkabout 3 a top job of covering yet another of those best in the West 4x4 destinations please just keep them coming. Funny thing is my wife and I are headed up there again in a few weeks as it's been our go to place for getting the worldly troubles out of our heads for years. One of those magic places you go to rejuvenate the soul. So you got to hear the tale of how there was this big incoming tide during the coral spawn and all the coral died. I've been hearing that tale for over twenty years what a load of B.S. If you ask me a lot of it can be contributed to the antifouling the tour boat operators use on their boats. Back in the early 70's when I was working on the US Naval Communication Station in Exmouth. Myself and a couple of dive buddies spent a diving weekend at Coral Bay. Rode down on our dirt bikes with our scuba cylinders strapped to our backs; no bitumen back in those days. No caravan parks with legalised extortion rates or hotel resorts either. The sand was pure white and the coral there was pristine at that time, as it was all the way up to the Cape. A piece of pure paradise. I could go on extolling the virtues of the N. W. Cape for hours as I was lucky enough to spend 5 years there in a time when no one knew Whale Sharks came to visit seasonally. The beauty of the Cape Range at sunset. The miles of pure white sand beaches where you won't see anyone else for days. The fish and underwater sea life that's simply mind blowing. Although now suffering somewhat from the mounting pressure of tourism it remains one of those places any 4x4 driver should have on his bucket list, to see before it's too late. Steve H

+Stephen Hutton Greetings there Stephen. Your comments on the long lost past are valid. The price of an expanding population comes at great cost. I liked the legalized extortion comment. We had something similar in the original edit but we agreed on a subtler approach rather than being too nasty. I agree also on the coral condition. If a majority of the reef was in bad shape I'd be willing to accept the story yet it seems mainly the area in direct reach of the hordes so human impact is a more likely cause. Anti fouling is something I hadn't considered. In truth I didn't know it existed until I heard about it twice this week. First from you then from a salesman at a boat shop. Well thanks for the comments and a toast to the long lost days.

Once again Mr foreman and wilms? you guys have produced a wonderful little documentary which by far represents your own unique personalities and it shows the passion and interest you guys have for this beautiful country. You guys are always willing to share your adventures to the unfortunate people who are unable to experience these types of adventures for them selves, so well done guys and as always take care and safe travels. Looking forward to the next installment.

+craig thulborn crickey! I was only talking about you today saying I hadn't heard from you for a while and saying you were having video making troubles like myself. Good to see your alive and well. how is the film making? We've started adding the iPhone to the gear list. It's acceptable quality but not as good as GoPro and better.

As usual Mr Foreman, you have lived up to my expectations, creating a quality Australian documentary (of sorts), & including your usual wit & charm. We do have the good fortune to live in a beautiful country where we all have the freedom to travel & explore...with exception to purchasing the occasional permit to travel onto aboriginal land.

@ForemanAndWilmsAdventures7 жыл бұрын
Greetings there. We are running the same brand and model as the csr. Bridgestone desert duallers, the ones we had on the Canning had been on the car for the 6 years I was wandering about in Africa and I was too cheap to swap them out before that trip. I've since tried the BF Goodrich all terrains and am now sold on them.

nice job! it's a shame you didn't get better conditions at exmouth. the reef there is much nicer than at coral bay. did you happen to go to gnaraloo? there are some amazing places to dive and snorkel there. lots of sharks😊. I've made some videos if you want to look, but not with your production quality 😉 well done.

3:38 Hmmm! Hairline crack in steel rims? uncommen but not impossible.are those chinese made? This video segment is very professional made,like all your others.
@ForemanAndWilmsAdventures7 жыл бұрын
They're aluminium rims, probably not the wisest choice considering how much weight we carry about. We had another one do the same thing so if we ever get back there we'll upgrade to steel.

Love your videos guys. Very informative and hilarious ! Keep up the good work. Do my ears deceive me, or do you attribute "Tony Abbott" to the endangerment of the coral reefs @ 3.48 mins ? Is this to do with his views on climate change, or just his budgie smugglers ?
@ForemanAndWilmsAdventures9 жыл бұрын
+Nugent Stiles Greetings there Nugent. We did throw in Mr Abbotts name as a bit of a joke. There was a time when the news was saying he had a proposal to cut a channel through the Great Barrier Reef for shipping so he got a mention in the film. Apart from that I thought he was alright.

Beautiful place though in my opinion narrative way too staged. I prefer a more spontaneous response to the beauty . I guess there are people who like the marine biologist point of view , but I personally prefer the more natural approach. Way too wordy.
@123456snowey2 жыл бұрын
You try to place the damage of the reef on Man with every chance possible, with could be this, or could be that, from sun screen to people touching it , so woke , You said it from the start...Big storm and flood water, Hate it when people have a crusade without the facts. Hope you dont use sun screen or use petrol in that outboard motor, And you are also part of the crowd.
