This is a fantastic speaker - clarity is incredible - have used daily for three years and is absolutely rock solid - I tried the 710 but it didn't really seem a great deal better - so now have two 510's - one as a backup/travelling.

You should have stepped away from it while on the call so that we could see how microphone picks up your voice from far away. Plus adding sound from the other side of call would have been better too.

I was provided this device by my employer and honestly don't understand it's use case. I take work calls directly on my laptop and find it very convenient to do so. What is the benefit of taking/making calls on this unit vs your phone or laptop? As far as music, this speaker is marginally better than than my laptop speakers.

Hi Dad Gizmo. I've a question. Is it possible to use it WITHOUT touching it ? Here is the case. My mother of 86 years old isn't able to use her hands anymore. So, to communicate with her, I place a smartphone with Google Duo/Meets near her and I install an auto-answer app (MotoAnswer). So, when I call her, MotoAnswer take the call and Google Duo/Meet switch on the phone speaker. BUT, smartphone microphone is poor and I think to associate this speakerphone to catch her voice and play mine. It can do the job ONLY if answering a call on the smartphone acts as answering the call on this device ? Did you test answering (hang up) the call on the smartphone permits a conversation on the Jabra speakerphone, please ? Thanks.

Yes you can. You don’t need to use Bluetooth.

This is indeed a good meeting device. Both the sound from speaker and my voice transmission is clear. But may I ask if there's any idea why the volume goes up and down a few notches (causing the sound to be really loud or too soft) whenever I raise the volume (via the device or even via Windows) while I'm using MS Teams? Strangely this only happened when the volume is at mid level (LED lighted at the microphone toggle off/on button)

Great review thank you. I’ve connected my 510 to my laptop today - all the lights and features seem to work, but the audio is still coming out of the laptop speaker. It’s not on mute, it’s connected via USB, the volume controls on the speaker control the laptop volume, but no audio through the speaker - any idea what I might be doing wrong?

Are you using it with Teams or Zoom? If so you need to adjust the settings to use the Jabra.

@@MrGizmo211 I think what he means is that on playing a music video on the laptop the sound does not come from the speaker when connected. I have experienced the same. It only works when you take a call on your laptop.

Good time to check your device settings after you plug in your Jabra. Once you are able to select the 510, please try a test call to check this. If that Al's does not work, may be you need to remove the appdata, relogin and check again.

I think the quality is much better then an iPhone on speaker. The sound is richer and people are very clear.

I bought aJabra earplugs in 2012. Excellent quality! But since last year I started having issues with one of the cables, and I tried to find the same model I bought in 2012 and I couldn't found them. I am very sad. I wish I could have them brand new but, I believe Jabra is not producing them anymore. :(

Have you had any complaints about people hearing themselves speak due to the mic picking up the sound from the speaker? One thing that is an issue sometimes on speakers compared to headsets.

Anyone know how to DISABLE the Bluetooth function all together? We have these mounted on the ceiling and it is being plugged in to be used. I turned the Bluetooth off, but every time its unplugged at the end of the day and plugged back in the next day it goes back to the same motion and Bluetooth is back on. Someone random from another room is getting connected to it. How do I stop this... its driving me crazy! Help!

My biggest issue while taking calls is that keeping headphones on my ears gives me ringing in ears. I tried setting the speaker output to my laptops speakers and the mic input to my headset's mic that is around my neck but everyone starts complaining of echoes and "sorry you were kinda mumbling I couldn't hear you" so mu question is does this speaker address that?

I’m struggling with these...I want a speaker that shows it’s on mute if I mute from Teams app. That happens with my USB Plantronics headphones. But, my last two speakers does not do that. How about this Jaba?

Do you want the doggle? That is the only difference that you get with the plus. I think the 510 would be the better choice.
