No way hall of fame. He lost half of his fights and was not dedicated enough to boxing. Simply clowning around in the ring and slipping punches is that even close to enough to be a Hall of Famer

@@deanvoss7098I agree about your statement about him not having the commitment or score needed for the hall of fame. However to say he only clowns around and throws punches is an understatement of his true abilites. Many of his most credible oponents like Mayweather and Ward would likely fundamentally disagree with your overall veiw.

Had no idea the judges scores vs Vester were in his favour, such a shame he was taken to that point mentally where he didnt want another bad decision and lost on his own terms.
@mrgor24
@mrgor24 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah same, it was only when I looked into it that I found that out. It was a relatively close fight, although Augustus mostly controlled the second half of the fight. Might've helped if I understood Danish because I would've been interested to know what the commentators thought was happening.

Im a Norwegian, i have been a boxing fan at least 40years, love the drunken master, i have never seen or heard of this danish boxer before. Would loved to get all the judges who robbed him trough his matches at the same place and forced them to re-watch all his fights and then stand up and tell why the robbed him so many times. Boxing has the hall of fame, the judges should have their own hall, the hall of shame! Cause those assholes has for decades given the sport of boxing a bad reputation, manny fights i give a shit to watch couse off those paid of bullshit judges. Thats why i complitly stopd watching K1 fights, specialy from Japan. Hall of shame for the judges, promotors and boxers shold be the next thing for boxing,

Part two please This was a brilliant video I wonder if the Danish commentary would have been like the British in the thaxton fight......(I'm English and don't speak Danish) but the British were bigging up thaxtons record expecting him to knock out the little guy with four defeats this year already.....then Augustus starts to box....and they even say to each other things like "well Burton is not boxing like his record would suggest." "For a boxer with four defeats already to his name this year you wouldn't expect the talent we are seeing here" Eventually they cut to Barry in the studio Who saying if thaxton can hang on till the final bell he might just have stolen this one But luckily Augustus does knock thaxton out and wins ... I wonder if the Danish would have been similarly biased towards the home talent until seeing him be totally out classed and the extra added terrible referee...would they eventually have Burton win them over aswell .....who knows.... But fantastic video either way and thanks for making it and please make a million more if you have a spare minute somewhen?!!?
@mrgor24
@mrgor24 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the support! I agree it would've been good to know what the Danish commentators were saying. The only thing i could make out watching it was at the end of some rounds they would say "something something Burton ja", which sounded like they were saying he won the round. They would also react when he landed a good punch so they at least sounded more impartial than some of the commentary I've heard. I'm definitely working through part 2, just very slowly. Been busy with personal life but it's on it's way 👍

@@mrgor24 , the only things to really see here is LSU’s stadium, it’s live mascot and the State Capitol Building (the tallest in the USA). Lafayette is the cultural center for Cajun Culture and its small, nice and full of rich culture. New Orleans Metro is the center of Creole Culture and while it’s also rich in culture it’s also rich in violence - as is Baton Rouge since Hurricane Katrina.

So this is how Muhammad Ali was able to predict in which round he would knock someone out. I have suspected something like this. Because many times you can not see the knockout blows because Alis's back was toward the camera. And it seamed like those blows were not so powerful. Ali A fighter everyone else is B fighter.
