Born in the 1970s in England before computers meant when filling in forms, my name wouldn’t fit in the boxes and back then there weren’t as many Asians in the UK so the English had no idea how to pronounce my name 😂😂😂😂

most of the sinhala names have a surname at the end (vass) and a gay name in the front (Warnakulasuriya Patabendige) which tells about their lineage which normally dont used in day to day life..

Only seeing this vid and comment now…but just to add, in SL the letters ‘ge’ at the end of a name is pronounced as ‘gay’. I’m a Brit born SL and have one of these as my first name….now picture the scene: London 1980s, skinny little Asian kid in glasses with a name that has ‘gay’ in it - you get an idea of how fun my childhood was 😂😂😂
