The Foden gets some better batteries fitted. We also take the Abbot engine into the workshop for repair. Things could have gone better..

Fascinating, I never would have expected a U-joint to be there. Nice to see things like this happen to everyone; admitting you messed up is good. Apparently, society is unable to admit mistakes now, and this is why we have such craziness in the world.

People are t worst creatures ever to populate Earth since the beginning of time.. At least all of them basically knew who was going to eat those that were meek, are weak. Nowadays one doesn't have a clue as to who is a decent person, because not even those that are supposed to be religious leaders, are city officials will commit the worst crimes imaginable. Those who are supposed to protect and serve the public. Are the ones that will either beat someone without asking single question, are commit crimes themselves to convict someone while lying to cover one another. While looking at someone straight in there eye, as they're swearing to tell the truth on the Bible. Mean while the Judge, the head of the DA's office is made deals with lawyers supposed to be working for the young man barely 19 here on charges of evading arrest when he never knew that he had a squad car 4 behind him, and truthfully it wasn't him that had ran through a red light nearly hitting another vehicle going through the red light Only the driver of the car that committed the crimes, had turned into a gas station when he was beside a delivery truck, and hid behind the store as the squad car locked his eye on the kid pulling out of the parking lot of another gas straight after getting his last 20 gallons worth of gas so he could get to work next morning, but had paid with cash and didn't get his receipt. Old man running the store had 10 customers, bad eye sigh, and never really looked at the kid, because he was too busy looking down the shirt of his employee putting cartons of smokes under the counter The defense lawyer made a deal with the DA to swap the innocent kid for his others client busted with enough crack to get the whole neighborhood stoned for a week plus he had two pistols in the back seat, but he gave his lawyer 25 grand in cash Who gives the DA 15 thousand cash for his cut Dope dealer walked out as the judge sentence kid to 3 years state jail.

What a day! Only one scrap battery on the Foden, then to ask if would start!!!! - First turn on tick over! - What a machine! Space heater - repaired. Adam works better at normal working temperature, which brings us to the engine. It could have been much worse! Starter motor will be a cheap repair - Did Seb write his name on the replacement after he'd cleaned and polished it? The engine started well, no easy start required, it sounds well, then things went down hill, but things could have been much worse, parts (in stock) can be replaced, and that will make another video to entertain the viewers. Okay, things didn't go 100% as planned, but still think of it as a good day. 🤗👍🤗

The most impressive part of that entertaining video was the good humour about oil and bits of engine on the floor. I'd have been rather more vocal - then doubly so after realising I'd caused the problem! Fair play taking that in your stride - or fair play to the editor! The sweet sounding engine is a nice consolation especailly on top of not breaking the engine itself. 👍👍

I once did an oil change and only had the drain plug finger-tightened (idiot mistake). A mile down the road the oil-check light came on, and I luckily pulled off the road within a few seconds. All the oil had escaped and left a trail 300ft long and a puddle where I parked. Filled it back up with oil, actually tightened the plug, and drove off. It would have been a shame if the engine went, I had spent the last year building a replacement engine and this was only the 2nd drive.
