Star wars outlaw was meant to be the golden goose to right the ship after ghost recon and skull and bones tanked. This speaks to the overall brand damage of Stars wars as a whole. Fallen order 1 and 2 were seen as the highlight of the storytelling in the crapfest of Ahsoka and mando s3. The light in the darkness now even the games have faded like the shows on D+

To be fair, those games had cool plot hooks and pulled from good parts of the disney lore and TCW. Outlaws looked like generic garbage from the start imo. If we aren't play a jedi or sith we want to be someone cool or badass. Like a bounty hunter. This lady is boring af looking and she lacks the charisma of Han Solo to be a cool smuggler.

The sensible thing would have been to let people make their own character. Even now I think Ubisoft could patch the game with a character design tool which would answer critics and salvage sales. Hell even this character would work better with a different hairstyle or a helmet.

Regarding wheelchair-man. If i can be the devils advocat for a bit. While we all know they didnt put it in to be cool, functional or otherwise... I do not nessesairly have a problem with it. I mean in Aliens, there is that disabled guy that is ended up being carried on Rons back. In Starship troopers, there are several disabled people and one general? With prostetics.However, they were in character, with character and not for representation... So the idea, fine. The reason, awful.

Shame. I was so hyped for Outlaw at first. Every new info, imagines, videos, ect that came out, my interest dropped more and more till I didn't completely lost interest. This gen of games, sucks overall. I'm not seeing signs of the games getting better, or this woke shit, going away any time soon

This inclusion stuff has gone so far over the top it's entered parody territory. The most absolutely hilarious (and straight up ridiculous) thing I've seen so far is the "female of color" versions of Cyrax and Sektor from Mortal Kombat 1. These characters were never even human let alone "male". 🤣🤣🤣🤣 So effin' lame.

Agreed. I don't like propaganda, but I don't see the fuss on this one. There's a tiny bit of historical basis for this character's existence and that's more than 99.999% of games based in "historical settings". If anything it makes it more interesting because the character is a "fish out of water", which is a common theme in fiction and drama. However what I don't understand is why any game in 2024 doesn't have an option to build your own character. That tech has been around for 15 years and it pretty much eliminates complaints about representation in games.
