@nicholasbuffone1752 күн бұрын
Pretty sure I would've made the exact same call, in all honesty; at the very least, if I'm doing it with any QB, I'm doing it with Richardson. For that matter, I honestly thought Olave was going to get the first down on 3rd. Looking back, it WAS a slight underthrow, but I think he gets marked ahead of the sticks if he lets the ball come to him more instead of twisting downfield to meet it. Sucks he's going to miss that much time because of a play that wasn't enough.

Honestly, your defense had been playing so well up to that point, I'm not sure why you don't punt in that situation.

That Chargers game was amazing. Shame about the last TD, but you can't be upset with how the team played
@DolFan3162 күн бұрын
28:08 The sad part is, if Olave just keeps running the route instead of coming back to the ball for some odd reason, it's an easy first down. CPU animation absurdity strikes again 😡

You see that in real games all the time.

Yup. Up 3, make them drive the length of the field in under a minute for a tying field goal or go ahead TD. The turnover instantly put them in FG range

If you can’t get an inch ti win the game maybe you don’t deserve to win. Just an idea.
@jakefromstatefarm1405Күн бұрын
@@isurrender3640 generally I agree with that statement, but in this particular game playing defense was not a problem for the Saints. Punting there is waaaaay safer
@slickjack26182 күн бұрын
Cane, I just wanted to applaud your use of the I-Formation against the Chargers. Using it to first, run the ball, and then for play action passing was exactly the way to attack the Chargers defense. You even managed to throw the ball to a fullback who standing alone in the field! I wasn't able to see how many yards Gilliam managed to pick up on that play, but I'd guess it was between 15 and 20. Usually, you tend to throw to receivers who have defenders clumped around them. I remind you, there is no sin arising from throwing to the open man. - sj
