Perachora, located just 7 km northwest of Loutraki in Corinth, is a stunning region rich in history and natural beauty. Its name derives from "Peraia Chora," meaning "the land on the other side" of the Corinth Isthmus.
In this video, we visit the charming Agios Nikolaos church, perched above the Corinthian Gulf, offering breathtaking views reminiscent of the Greek Islands. Accessible via a 10-minute uphill walk, it’s best tackled with proper shoes and without small children.
Next, we explore the Heraion of Perachora, an archaeological site dedicated to Goddess Hera, nestled beside a serene beach with emerald waters. The descent to the site is easy but carrying light is recommended for the climb back. At the top, the Melagavi Lighthouse offers spectacular sunset views, a must-see for visitors to this picturesque region.
