This is the prettiest laundry room I have seen so far! And considering how difficult it was to design this room, it came out wonderfully! Love how Mr Kate always shows the good and the not so good sides of designing, making the process seem all the more relatable for the rest of us

you need to make a small bench, the same color as the cabinet. put it against the empty wall-say it is somewhere for Moon to sit, but it is for mom to stand on to get to the cabinets

Interior designer here....just popping in to say that, it looks great as usual! As you know, even with tons of experience and having exact measurements, so many factors can end up forcing changes on a project but that satisfying end result is what make all those stressful hiccups seem like nothing but a greater appreciation for the final outcome. I may not get to watch all your videos these days but i truly love all the ones i do and admire you for letting Moon join in on these projects. Its teaching him so many things but you also dont record him intensely or seem to shovea camera in front of his face for views. He is just an added, adorable sweetness to your already great content. Still "secretly" wish I could have you here to do my home (both along side me or as a totally surprise reveal) so I don't have to do it all. Even Interior Designers have a hard time doing their own homes!

Omg this pre-fab cabinet stacking thing is GENIUS!!! Can you guys share some tips and tricks on how to re-purpose cabinets that come with a new home into more custom looking ones?? We are moving into our new home soon and the cabinet situation is just weird but the quality of the cabinets is quite good so don’t want to just throw them away!!

You could probably do a fold-down table on the side wall so it's out of the way when not needed and you can pop it up when you need it and you can make it any height you want. The rooms looks lovely.

They are the norm in Europe and work fine. You need to clean out the filters after each use, however. And empty the water tank.

I'm a schmall Mom too but my son (who is now 26) is 6ft! He made me a stepstool in sjop class when he was in junior high! He even cut a handle in the topso I could carry it around! I still use it to reach things!! Moon is a great helper!!!

I think the laundry room looks lovely. It is 20 million times better than ours. Our floors are concave and our washing machine bounces around, lol. Kate, you need a step to stand to fold laundry on the counter, one that is strong. Then you can also reach up into the cupboard above. Its ok. I also need a step to stand on to reach inside my cupboards. So well done guys!! 🎉

Off subject, but I purchased the Moon Nesting table from Amazon. I LOVE❤ it! Came packed really well, everything fit together easily. Everything was super nice and high quality. Makes me want more of your furniture! I did use my own screwdriver, easier for me than the Allen wrench provided. Just because I could grip it better ( weakling here). If you could just rewrite directions for other companies I bet you could make a lot of $$. Directions clear as a bell!! Maybe reconsider discontinuing the set. Anyways sooo happy with my purchase!! Thank you!

I do think those big laundry machines are more designed for stacking one on top of the other. Like you said, putting them side by side ends up with a counter that’s so high most people can’t use it comfortably

my grandparents live on the big island of Hawai'i (Kea'au). the supply issues have always been a huge deal. inventories of ANYTHING are not varied or deep. and tv shows were two weeks behind, then. wonder if that has changed. my grandmother was a seamstress from LA who used to send mom and me the coolest clothes and fabrics. once she moved we got really old inventory type patterns made of fabrics also very passé. if it wasn't some hawaiian print it was pretty awful, actually. hahaha. i remember the day mom and i had to respectfully tell her she could stop sending us clothes either from stores or handmade.
