I've seen Scott live several times and even sat at the bar with him between sets back in the 80's-90's, last time I saw him he blew the doors off of downtown St. Paul and set off fire alarms in a legendary outdoor show - he's a phenomenal talent, and yet totally humble.

Scott Henderson is a beast. Been listening for many, many years and met him at NAMM 10 years ago. That was very exciting for me - decidedly less so for him! 😂 When people ask what players most influenced me, Jeff Beck and Scott Henderson always make it into my response - even though, sadly, I don’t play like either of them!

And why wasn't it very exciting for him? You made him sign all of your CDs collection? ;)

Yup. That's the secret story of Stevie Ray Vaughan #1 Strat too. SRV used a dummy coil activated by push-pull TONE knob switch. And you can then use a standard middle single coil (not RWRP) which sounds better in positions 2/4 of a switch.

can use in 4 cable method ? guitar -> L input SE-70 -> L output SE-70 -> amp input -> amp effect loop send -> R input SE-70 -> R output SE-70 -> amp effect loop return ? how does it sound ? like compressor, auto wah, chorus, flanger, phaser, pitch shift, before the amp ? can you make a demonstration video ?
@guitarelaxed4 жыл бұрын
No, that won´t work. The algorithms in the SE-70 that include effects like comp, autowah or pitchshift are not entirely stereo from input to output. The input signal is summed to mono and splits later in the effect chain to stereo. There is no possibility to split the signal chain at a desired point. There are a few algorithms that are completely stereo like 2 channel mixer, Hall + Room, Reverb + Delay, Reverb + Chorus, Reverb + Pitch Shift and Delay + Chorus. Those are supposed to be used on 2 aux sends of a mixing console.
@nilsonbarbaro4 жыл бұрын
On page 4, user's manual, says: "2-In/2-Out Routing - The SE-70 provides for stereo input and output. This assures that the stereo image of the original input will be maintained even after effects are applied. It also allows you to process two separate signals in parallel" Does the effects has a balance level or mix level for left and right ?
@guitarelaxed4 жыл бұрын
@@nilsonbarbaro There is a user manual and then there is a second manual called algorithm guide, where every effect algorithm is described and also displayed with block diagrams. As I said the complete stereo path only applies for the few algorithms that I mentioned in my first post. The SE-70 has a double input gain pot on the front, where you can set the gain for each channel independently and in the menu of only the few algorithms I mentioned you can determine if the output is stereo mix or mono + mono. There are single effects, dual effects and multi effects in the SE-70 but in all multi effect chains you can either only use the left input or L + R are first summed to mono before being processed. You can set the levels with a switch on the back to either +4 or -10dB but not independently for each channel. Also the assign possibilities for parameters to a control switch or an expression pedal are very limited. The SE-70 came out in 1993. Nevertheless I still have 2 SE-70 and use them regularly.
