One of the things I enjoy about your reactions is how cogent you are when presenting the logic-basis for your thoughts about social-issues. I loved your 'mother' analogy about our republic. In a figurative sense, Tom and Nova are telling leftists if they don't like Mom's rules then it's time to leave home. As someone who's prior-Army, one of the freedoms I defended was the right of people to freely leave our republic. If someone's not happy here, then why would they want to stay? There are plenty of people who'd love to become legal immigrants and take their place. One person's junk is another person's treasure, so give the treasure of our republic to those who want it and will appreciate it. Umm.. after my talking about how smart you are, I feel a bit awkward for pointing out an obvious answer to your question about the "Florida truck". People from Florida visit other states and a license place can be borrowed to use in a film shot on private land. The truck doesn't have to be from (or in) Florida for the video, because the illusion of the truck being from (or in) Florida using a borrowed license plate from another vehicle will work fine. Nova uses a lot of symbolism in her visual-art. Even though she didn't direct or shoot this video, you can bet she had a lot of input about the messaging that she wanted to happen in it. One thing is for certain. The landslide results of the election proves how well Tom and Nova were able to read the 'room' of our republic before the election.

America has a big culture issue, I am originally South African, we have a LOT of problems here and an extremely corrupt government but if you go burn the flag here publicly you will probably end up in the hospital, while we know we have problems people here still love the country. I have been looking at America for a few years, the 2020 election made me put those plans on hold. The 2024 election results has made me interested again, but I do have concerns about the culture in America, I have been to America once in my life and I can easily say I love America more than half of the Americans, I really do hope that changes. There is also a specific way to burn/retire a flag; it's not as straightforward as just burning it. I think the most common way is to fold the flag and then burn it. When in BSA, I separated the stars and stripes and then burned them because they were in too bad a condition to fold.

This was put out just before the election and may have been on a tight schedule for that reason. Could well be a reason for the continuity issues you noted. Time to review the work with fresh eyes is often sacrificed on such schedules, where normally you may be able to set it aside for a few days and more easily spot items for correction. Just an observation from one who has supervised and worked multi-faceted projects, both with longer and shorter time constraints. I always had to change focus to catch errors that were more common to the more rushed projects.

Thr truck is most likely a rental. Big rental companies vehicles have one way options where you drive a car from a to b and return it to a local rental branch of the same company as opposed to driving it back to point a. The truck originated in Florida hence the tag.

I like the sentiment of leave if you don't like it. I always hear this said. If you could tell Native Americans where to go, for future reference, it would be informative, and appreciated. I understand some version of Caucasian was here first, and this is technically their land. I'm confused if Native Americans have a home? And again, where we should go. Don't get me wrong!
