I know we all have problems in life, we all struggle with certain things and now it's one of those moments for me, I'm not having a good time and I just feel bad and my mind is full of things that I prefer not to talk with anyone, so I'm here listening to this beautiful version of this great album and I don't know how to describe how magical and healing this is to me. And I'm pretty sure that my tears now are not because of sadness but nothing else than being able of feeling calm and in peace with myself again despite everything. I close my eyes and I imagine John playing his guitar and singing-probably with Josh by his side-while I listen to this pure, majestic work and I feel happy, as simple as that. It works as some kind of medicine, I hope its effects last forever.

John Frusciante's music uplifts and heals forever. Of course it's effects will last - there's no doubt about it. Best of luck with getting better and with changing your thinking to achieve a more positive state of mind.

Sometimes all we need as human beings is to empty our own tears reservatory, or just to feel a bit more vulnerable, for some just moisty eyes, and the power of Jonh's testments in his own words channels a hole spectrum of emotions, memorys and hope. His masterpieces are simply a fascinating instrument through which one can have each own cathartic process of rebirth. Sometimes I see myself singing alone 'I regret my past' and it's just the bottom trampolin I need to rise again so that I don't collide with my shadows 🙏

that's why he made it. he knew a lot of his fans were used to his releases being more raw and lofi sounding, so he made a raw acoustic version to make up for the expensive production and more accessible sound of the main release. this album was really the first time john went out of his way to put his songs through expensive studio production (and it remains his most expensive album to date), so he knew it would be a different experience for his fans, and wanted to give them this in case it didn't work for them.

SECOND WALK I take a second walk Down the street of fame I've paid it off and paid for it again All these miserable feelings never end But to fall and be down's something I transcend I've been a meal of mine And slid down my throat And all I'm facing is one more way to go Died so many times and then reappeared All death looks like to me is a word that causes fear I'm taking my place In a world with different space No time at all accept how you move Be who you are Do what you do Not win or lose

RICKY I was afraid to be me Be anyone you want to be Be anyone you want to be I don't blame my weak For my not being able to speak Clearly about things I've said before And if it's light outside, night will fall Night will fall And if it's life, the resolves The resolves Anywhere you are in a maze is a lie Anywhere you are on a page you still go to the right Anytime there's no ground below you, you're in the sky Anytime you're afraid it's gonna be alright It's gonna be alright I was a flame in the night I heard what I wanted to hear And the moment I disappeared I grew the size of all outside 'Cuz I became one with the night I became one with the night And if it's real it's not all It's not all there is There's a lot in what appears not to be there at all And you can function as someone besides who you are

After listening to this album was the moment when I realized all this time I was way more a Frusciante fan rather than RHCP. The acoustic hits just the same. Love it. It was so clear after he left that he carried them to fame. Don't get me wrong, Anthony, Flea and Chad are amazing musicians, but the hits that made them explode is all John's sound. Especially in Stadium Arcadium. Just my opinion.

I've heard Shadows so many times, and it's always been amazing. But my jaw actually dropped in awe when I heard those opening vocals to Carvel here. John is seriously one of the greatest artists to exist (Both in RHCP and on his own)
