My opinion : I think if the Government is really concerned about the Development and Employment of the state than The Festival could also be done rotation wise ( like district wise rotation) periodically. Though it would be seasonal, it can promote development and connectivity among different Districts of Nagaland also providing employment to many unemployed youths. Thus promoting tourism as well as there are many unexplored areas in Nagaland especially in Eastern Areas.❤

I appreciate the praise and worship team in hornbill festival this year. We are call to witness Christ everywhere we go. If we don't, saying because it's a secular thing then what's the point of saving the medicine for the healthy, it is the sick who needs the medicine. So gospel is a medicine for the people who are sick spiritually. Jesus came for the secular world to heal them so we should not leave the secular world to die in their sickness. We are the light and the light shines the brightest in the darkest room.

I have been to hornbill festival for 5 days and stayed up late at night (had to pick up stuffs at stalls) and I think there is a common misconception. You talk about sexual immorality as if it’s widespread but I am yet to come across anyone engaging in such activities, at least not in premises of Kisama. People who want to engage in sexual immorality will, wherever they are. People who want to to drink will, wherever they are. No need to blame the festival itself. There is no logical reasoning behind it.
@y.c.ongbouchang72009 күн бұрын
@@ElivinuRight it depends on personal conviction.
@AchileDeji9 күн бұрын
I hav seen such things happen myself and have heard similar stories from friends during the festival. That said, I wouldn’t go so far as to claim these incidents are widespread or happen all the time. These are just anecdotes, and basing conclusions on them wouldn’t be right. To say that the Hornbill festival promotes immorality seems like a bit of a stretch. People who are horny will find their way, no matter the time or place. It’s not fair to put the blame on the festival itself. It's not horny bill festival.

Right pick by you... the tourists have started flocking to Nagaland to experience the Hornbill Festival and explore the beauty of the state. The Hornbill Festival, whether directly or indirectly, serves as a powerful platform to showcase and advocate for the identity and heritage of the Naga people. Through this festival, the world gets an unfiltered glimpse into who the Nagas truly are.. our vibrant and unique culture, traditions, and way of life. Credit must be given to the current government for their dedication and hard work in organizing this grand event. The resources invested benefit the entire state, fostering unity and cultural pride. The Hornbill Festival is a rare and vital opportunity for the world to recognize our distinctiveness from mainland India-be it through our culture, cuisine, or the breathtaking beauty of our God-gifted land, complemented by the grace and hospitality of our people. This festival must not only continue but also be further enhanced with additional efforts from the government to ensure it reaches even greater heights. It is a celebration of our identity and a chance to share our story with the world.

Creating avenue or platform to innovate many many entrepreneurs and culture is duty of Government. And state government has done its job. Government revenue not neatly record may be less, but entrepreneur earning was satisfactory, it's more than 100 crores last year as declared by tourism minister. Many has share their personal views without analysing ground realities. Hornbill festival is the only platform where visitors can get a good knowledge of different Naga tribes culture in one place with organised manner instead of visiting defferent places. This is the only unique festival where we Naga connect to the outside world. This is the only festival where youngsters learnt the original Naga culture and traditions. Overall Beneficial is more than the expenditures. State government should spend some more money for infrastructure to create convenience for the tourist as Kisama Naga hiretage village has become an international arena now.

From its inception to now I must say the hornbill festival has been a missed opportunity largely due to poor infrastructure. A festival meant to boost tourism and generate revenue for the state has failed spectacularly even after 25 long years. The original vision of promoting tourism not just during the festival but throughout Nagaland has completely lost its way. If the government had truly been serious they would have developed significant infrastructure, not just in Kohima but across the entire state to match the festival’z initial goals. But alas, 25 years later, what we’re left with is a festival that promises much yet delivers little a celebration of missed chances and unrealized potential

We nagas are very smart and clever to create something organize like nagaland for christ, hornbill festival, etc but as a christain we dont know how to glorified God in every work and please Him. The bible says whatever you do do it for the glory of God so when we do something and if we dont do for the glory of God it is sin, and satan take an advantage of it thats how we fall into sins in whatever we do. Even in the festival of hornbill many fall and you know the ungodly people came and enjoyed the festival even we shouldnt be yoke together with them if they dont except jesus christ as their personal savior brethren its time to wake up becaous the work of darkness is approching to kill and destroy let us lay aside all the love of money the love of the world or the things in the world.Amen🙏
