It's all saturation, man. I completely agree with you though, this album is even more underrated than CJ Mac's True Game or Rappin' Ron & Ant Diddly Dog's Bad-N-Fluenz tape. The problem is that back in the day there were just so many artists, many of whom had little to no promotion from their label. Y-D's flow and voice are absolutely iconic.
