that last step on turning your vita off before removing the sd2vita card helped me a lot. figured this is why all my files got corrupted eventually. transferring all my games now to the app folder and hopefully this works. got like 70gb of games. thanks once again, will update this comment if it works.

So from my own further testing here I do not recommend trying to use any 1TB microSD cards with your Vita. It will freeze. A lot. 512GB and make sure its good quality, like A2 Class 10 Sandisk Extreme Pro. Heck even a 400GB one is safer if you can still find one at that size. Thanks for the neat video MrMario2011, shows how to use YAMT perfectly.

I used YAMT's built in formatting tool. Further testing here shows that StorageMgr is stable when using a 1TB microSD card, not YAMT. Which sucks because YAMT has a nice built in storage manager under Devices in settings, and StorageMgr does not.

MrMario YAMT would be more boot fast, easy to install and for us more clean GUI but for some people that won't like to do more extra steps or have a good memory card size with extra games it's more handly switch sd2vita app and easily switch storage.

wow i actually understood that one. i just wanted to upgrade to a bigger sd card and getting a bit frustrated why uma0 wasn't showing. i was planning to use vita deploy to format the card by installing it to the internal memory. a bit reluctant since i saw many comments that it doesn't work. this storageformat seems a safer bet.

I'm using a brand new Samsung EVO Plus 256GB SD card with a (black) SD2VITA v3 and YAMT 4.0 on Enso FW 3.65, no issues at all, worked first attempt. Maybe it had issues in the past but at least my card is working like a charm in my Vita 1xxx.

Little note about Samsung Evo compatibility. According to the official guide, they specifically mention the RED Sasmung Evo cards. There is also green and yellow colors. Is having a color other tjan red the reason why a lot of people has success with it? Maybe, maybe not but I'm curious.

Vita error code c4-13901-4 when connect USB to PC/ Android Box As the title mentioned, I can't have any data transfer via USB (the cable) because the PC not even recognize (no sound or notification at all) when plugged in. Whether I was using Vitashell USB mode or Content Manager, it just the same. But the strangely my Vita was able to detect whether the USB is connected or not and the charging is ok. My Vita is PCH-1000 with Henkaku-Enso FW 3.60, using SD2VITA 512GB San Disk Micro SD card mounted via YAMT Lite plugin. Also got Sony Memory Card 8GB. I did: 1) Change different new USB cables (5 cables so far by various brands) 2) format the Sony Memory Card 3) Insert and remove the Sony Memory Card 4) reinstall Henkaku-Enso including Taihen 5) Shift between Storagemgr and YAMT Lite 6) Rebuild Database 7) Check the external side of charging port, seems ok, no bent pins. EVERYTHING ELSE IS WORKING FINE INCLUDING FTP MODE

Hey Mr Mario, your videos are great and I've been following them but I've had an issue. So I managed to do the jailbreak with Henkaku and Enso just great in your other video, amazing vid btw. However I'm having an issue with YAMT, so I format my SD2Vita as instructed and then reboot the device then proceed to input the YAMT settings. I have a 1000 Model and have the 1GB "Internal Storage", no memory card. I selected Memory Card for ux0 and SD2Vita for uma0...I reboot and all homebrew apps are gone and my settings no longer indicate that I have a 1GB "memory card". Oddly enough when I remove the SD2Vita from the slot and reboot all my apps are gone. Should I select internal storage for ux0? I haven't gone and done it as I'm scared to brick my Vita. Please help, love your work!! Edit: I took a gamble and set it to default as I assumed that it would just utilise a previous setting under default for ux0 and it worked! Thanks very much for your awesome videos!

Copying takes forever to happen on my Vita.. You did mention that it could take a while to do so, but the copy speed varies wildly from several thousand kb/s to less than 100. For whatever reason as soon as it hits the 15% mark the transfer rate takes a huge nosedive and it slows to such a crawl.

if you have a custom bootsplash or message and got stuck while booting, turn it off completely mid-way, and then hold the power button with the L trigger. Keep holding them both until you see the login menu. Voila.

Either works, since VitaDeploy downloads the latest build of YAMT. As said, you pick whichever storage you're using which has your apps and data.

I'm trying to install YAMT on my second device. In storageFormat, I'm getting the error "Format failed, please reboot (C1-2755-9). Do you have any idea what is the cause? You might need to manually format it in your PC using the .img file method that had to be done for StorageMgr

Ok. So you wanna copy from a 64GB to a higher capacity SD right? The 64GB will be the source SD, the new SD will be the target one. Ok so copy ALL the files of the Source (64GB) SD card to your PC. (I recommend copying inside a folder, named something like Vita backup) then on the Target SD card (New SD card) you put all those files there. (NOTE: YOU ALSO NEED TO COPY THE PROTECTED SYSTEM FILES)

Wow I was banging my head to make yamt work whatching someone else's tutorial work but now i know why i have a frikin evo thanks man no one else mentioned that, i was not getting uma0 to show up so frustrated what i did was used vita deply to mount sd card as grw0 and just do the next step to coppy ur0 to it, its still coppying but idk if its gonna work or not, im gonna follow the rest of the tutorial. In VitaShell I get Error 0x80010005 when trying to copy files to SD2VITA using Sandisk Ultra PLUS 128GB, tried a fresh 64GB card of the same brand and got the same result. I've rebooted and reformatted the cards multiple times but just when I think the error isn't going to come back it pops up. Running Henkaku-Enso 3.60 on PSTV Model VTE1001. Edit: For anyone else that gets this error it is from copying too many files. So copy a few folders at a time and it will work.

@@elianyolcu6059 I depends the size of the folders. The error is from copying too large a quantity I think. Try doing the bigger folders one by one but a lot of the smaller ones should work fine if you group them up. I also went in my apps folder and copied all that stuff 3-5 at a time because if you have a lot in the apps folder it will always give you an error when you trying copying the whole thing over.

I can't get storageFormat to properly format my sd card. Every time that I set the target to Sd2vita and the file system is on Texfat I hit format target storage, and then I get an C2-12828-1 error. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, and I don't even know if it's my fault. If you have any tips at all, I would truly appreciate your help. I've even tried to ignore the error and install yamt and do all of that stuff, but my uma0 folder doesn't appear. This is the second sd2vita that I've bought and it's actually costing a lot.

Hey! I just wanted to say i followed your last video and it worked great! Im only having one issue now. I open vitashell and hit select and it does USB mode. A folder Pops up on my PC but under vitashell all i have is : bookmarks, internal, language, module, recent, theme and then a settings.txt. Im not sure how to view my Vitashell options on my pc? :/ I can use HBB and stuff, and i have the permanent hack for 3.60. Not sure what i am missing :/

Just a question. What’s the point of downloading YAMT through the computer then transferring onto the console when you can simply just download it on the console itself.
