Aerial is among Kate Bush's very best albums, but not widely known, sadly. For me it is an album especially for the autumn, but I play it tens of times a year. With the songs it's the atmosphere of the album that makes it a masterpiece for me.

How good this song really is I have trouble judging. It was such a sweet thing to 'find' 10 years after release, and the fact that I only could listen to it on KZbin (took loads of years to get a deal with Spotify) made it sweeter. Also that feeling of buying the LP. And the fact that the album hid so much quality.

Kudoes to the people that handled the bass for this masterpiece : Bosco D'Oliveira, Del Palmer and Steve Sanger. At regular volume - for all other songs played in my car - the bass is comparable to the other ranges. However, this jewel did something I've never seen before - around 3:00 the bass kicks in, and my rearview mirror 'danced' to the beat. Just had to glance at the mirror every now and then just to take in the resonance while driving down the road. 🙂

What a beautiful piece of visual art. The editing is magical. I love the way the narrative interprets the lyrical content and how you brought her use of birdsong to life through animation. The bird literally “giving the bird” with the middle finger was a delightful and unexpected touch. The fragments lifted from her various music videos, interspersed with the guitar player and Nature imagery made a visually dynamic and riveting series of montages. I felt like I was on a visual rollercoaster, which is perfect for the journey the song takes the listener on. The album as a whole body of work is an absolute masterpiece. We love Kate. ❤️✨
