To be fair, starfield for released as a more complete and stable game than cyberpunk which was pretty much in an alpha state. Don't get me wrong they turned it around, but Don't forget that they lied and took advantage of all of us to get the capital to finally finish the game. I'm not saying don't forgive them, but don't confuse charity with things that could be argued was planned but had to be cut last minute. I'm All for forgiving them, but we have to be wary from now on.

It's a new IP that just didn't fit with what Bethesda is good at. They wanted to change things up and in that effort they couldn't fully realize and co.plete the game in time. But it's not a bad game, nor does it have anything to do with the ES games and how Bethesda makes those. To think that starfield is the number one indicator that Bethesda is hereby doomed is ridiculous.

I thought the same as well, especially since they even had someone from that third party on the stream, that was surprising. I think this is a sort of warm-up and they plan to use that studio to do further updates at a reasonable cost and without taking time from their core staff (who are on unreal engine now anyways). Honestly, besides a New Game+ feature, the only features I'd really, really want are Auto-Nav for vehicles, Body Mods for the player, and some kind of Arena system. That third one specifically has a LOT of potential. There are a few KZbinrs who love to showcase their skills in Cyberpunk. Imagine being able to create your own custom combat encounters, complete with specific rulesets (like not being seen, or Knives Only, etc), customizable enemy types, and pre-made Arenas. You could upload them for other players to challenge. Set score and time trial leaderboards. Community challenges. The works. Players like Benjamin Winters and Stealth Gamer BR would have a field day, and we'd get all kinds of cool showcase videos from them.

Multiplayer (this is based on a TTRPG after all) An actual martial arts system that isn't basically Oblivion with dodging (again, the TTRPG) New game+ "Fresh start"/"Another life" where you skip the 40 hours of baggage in the main quest Body customizations that aren't just decals (body size sliders, more significant implants) Power armor (again, like in the TTRPG) More actual punk storylines, not just Keanu cameos or working for the US GOVERNMENT Cyberspace/netrunning at will, not just "quickhacks" Actual interactable side NPCs other than Pat Bateman interactions with vendors ("where's your mods?") The absolute lack of imagination from the remaining user base is the only reason updates like "you can paint a couple of the cars now!" are sliding by with fanfare.

In their most recent investor's call, CDPR showed that there's almost no one from their company is left to work on Cyberpunk 2077. So most believed that there's really no more update for this game. But based CDPR partnered with another company (Virtuous) to deliver this update. Love this so much, especially since I'm into virtual photography. And the VP scene for this game is huge.

You know what I want? A game mode (perhaps in an experimental BD) in which you progressively fight against every notable character including cyberpsychos, Kurt Hansen, Adam Smasher, Rogue, and Takemura. You unlock them progressively after you reach certain milestones in the story or in individual missions (so if you never fight Kurt you can in this mode for example). The reward for completion? Doesn't matter. It would be fun, and everyone knows it.

I still love that they focused on first person only for this game. People don’t seem to understand that’s what makes this game epic in so many mission moments with what you see and how it flows. It’s beautiful and exciting at the same time. And actually more exciting than GTA in a lot of ways. We already have the great 3rd person game, GTA. I like that this is totally different. But I get that people are really into seeing their character. I would be fine for it for a sequel but I think you should only be able to do it in certain moments or non combat situations. Or perhaps have a button that shows you different 3rd person views as a still animation move (character doesn’t move forward but moves a little as an animation) that doesn’t affect gameplay or cutscenes. Or maybe allow a 3rd person in cutscenes but that changes the whole feel of the game.

I didn't get it and won't until maybe it's on a super sale, not because I think it might be bad but just to not give them any more incentive to release crap and be rewarded for it. However, all you hear is all the praise, when they as a company were so unorganized that they had to release what they had just to get more money because they wasted so much. What they should have done, and the same for BGS (charging for expansion after that crapshow) is what No Mans Sky did. How many patches and updates have they provided all for free. And to end my rant, these issues at these large companies are not related to the programmers or artists, it's the leadership. I've worked for several large companies, one game one and they hire these people with fancy degrees in "how to steal people's money" instead of people who are passionate about games. Those people know that 80% of the people left on this planet are gluable, lazy and willing to buy piles of crap.

But their turnaround is one of the most impressive in gaming history. Actually impressive in terms of media company turnarounds in general. Especially since Eastern Europe hasn't been the most placid place on the globe, yeah?

I blame you, MrMatty. Lord knows I didn't need another game. But the combo of the 2.2 update, 1/2 off on Steam for the Ultimate edition, and your most excellent reviews pushed me over the edge. Grabbed 2077 yesterday, and ohh baby, I'm all in. (except it makes clear that I need a new rig next year, keeping a steady 60 fps took work and twerk). Thanks!

The last two options i want to see is a 3rd person camera, and different body types akin to all the npcs you see, like super jacked v for your body build, a super gangly and skeletal v for high cyberwear/netrunner and a +size v for people that happen to want that. In terms of a 3rd person camera breaking immersion, just make it an eye cyberwear option, i don't use the second eye slot for anything so using the slot for some kinda micro drone plugin just feels right.

I've been in love with this game since launch and I was on PS4 pro. It played surprisingly very well. So this patch out of the blue caught me off guard but its so amazing. Wow... thank you CDPR. giving us this patch with great quality of life stuff on the 4 year mark since it launched.

I was threatening to start a fourth playthrough for weeks now. This is just the incentive I needed. Loved collecting cars and this game was the first game I EVER used photo mode (extensively) in. Thanks, CDPR!

Photo mode is basically a menu. The other part of the time, your character model's animations are still cringingly bad.

I love photo mode, probably going to jump back in and see what is new! Honestly photography is the main reason I like these games, open world stuff. I hope to see more features like that in future games with all sorts of features to mess around with.

Still no flashlight or night vision cyberware? Too bad, the game coukd really use something like that imo - the poor visibilty in dark areas is basically the last remaining irritation I have with the game.

We need another Cyberpunk DLC - I know they said Phantom Liberty would be the only one but I don't believe them. It's gonna be about a decade until we see that sequel and there's still so much they could add to the current game.

Instead of third person. It should just switch the camera around when you get dressed in an apartment when you go to sleep, take a shower, or do anything like inside your apartment. Also when you're at Shops if you can go third person there. They can do that in game. The first trailer had the camera switched around from third person to first person. If they do that for like when a mission starts or ends just for a second then we get a sense of how V looks in the world that's my only issue because I don't want it to be first person. However if they can just switch the camera around like a photo mode even just for a second after a certain actions that would be great. Also it's already in the game to do this cuz it does it for certain things like getting in cars and checking yourself in the mirror

I never gave up on cyberpunk. I'm one of the ones that got it on Xbox 1X it was pretty unplayable at the time. When I found out there working on it I decided to keep checking in on it periodically until it got so fine tune to where it was a totally different game. CDPR really heard the fan base out and fixed it. Now it's like my all-time favorite RPG

For me personally, there are two games that feel very similar when I start them after a couple of months: WATCH_DOGS and Cyberpunk 2077. Every time I load a game and just start moving about, my first reaction is, man I want *more* of this. Not a new game, just something little extra more in that giant, awesome world the developers built. Sadly, I don't get this for WATCH_DOGS... but CDPR love CP2077 and I understand why they don't let go just yet.

I played the demo. It has totally weird controls. And I wanted to be a ninja. Being a ninja sucks in first person. I just kinda never finished the demo. The controls sadly didn’t gel with me. I keep hearing about how great it is, but that’s not how I felt.

Apparently they didn’t have stragglers hang behind. They primarily outsourced the update to contract developer Virtuos. I wonder if they’ll continue with this going forward. Seems like they’re happy to have the American team focus on Orion, the Poland team focus on Witcher, but they want to keep the love for 2077 going. Maybe not a bad move since it will probably be 5+ years until a new Cyberpunk game is ready.
