My name is Edwin Bubba Hardin founder and original member of the Techniques and Techniques IV group. Roy Bright is the lead singer and Lee Kirk was doing the second lead. Lee has passed but the others members are still alive. Don Nichols, Joe Atkins, John Phillips, Billy Houston and myself were the original Techniques. We changed to the Techniques IV. Roy Bright, Billy Houston, Lee Kirk and myself became the Techniques IV. Thanks to Larry Hargrove for writing such a beautiful song and Dr. James Polk for signing us to his label. Ron Brown arranged it for us. Thanks to the band Capri Mark 3 and love to all our fans!

My brother Johnny played the guitar for the mark 3 (I think that was there name) . He was one of the original organizers of the band. Don Nichols was originally with the techniques. He and Johnny both are now in Heaven.

Johnny Reed was a very cool dude, he came to visit us all the time. He played in my dad's bands, went church with my daughter and my brothers went to LBJ with his son. I remember when he lived by LBJ and I unfortunately remember his funeral. RIP Johnny

not to be rude but this was not "Your grandfathers band" he wasn't in the Techniques Larry had a band that played the instruments. My grandfather Arfincie "Don" Nichols was a original member of the Techniques, he's the one singing falsetto, and he is still alive: as a matter of fact only one of the Techniques is dead if were being accurate.
