Remember the airmail and the letters. Did your relatives used to send you Eid cards too? We used to keep them on display for years. It was simple times - expressions of love. We need to remember some of that. Our elders used to take time to drive to relatives in far off towns just to keep in touch - youngsters nowadays will drive halfway up the country to check out a chicken burger but will weasel out of going to out of town relatives for marna jeena.
