For those of you wondering why I wasnt playing my main heroes in comp, this is basically why. My main account is 4000 SR. My alt account is 3000. Me playing tryhard wouldnt be fair on the other team. Me doing kinda dumb stuff seemed like a nice intermediate point to even it out (because I was tryharding, just with... not great strats!).

From the comments, I can see people need to learn two things. 1. Throwing a game does not mean picking off-meta characters or picking characters non-optimal for the comp OR using those characters in an unusual way. It means to actively not take part in your goals (e.g. not killing, not going to the payload, allowing yourself to die). Throwing did not happen in this video. 2. If you didn't buy the copy of someone else's game, you have no right to tell them what to pick. To assume you do, or assume that someone else has an obligation to you (a perfect stranger), is privileged thinking. People play the game for fun. If the way you have fun is to play the game as seriously as possible and try to win, great - these people are nothing more than a challenge you must try to overcome. That doesn't mean enforcing your whim on them, that means playing around them (or -gasp- with them) and winning despite their tomfoolery.

Man I wish people played like this in comp. Trying more wacky strategies (all be it with communication) and seeing more heroes. Breathing some personality into competitive. Also people should stop mass complementing a single player. It tends to give them god complex, and it will make them less likely to switch heroes even tough it is needed. Also why are people taking a game so seriously. It's just a game, not a job at the e sports level, and it probably won't affect your future. (unless you are a pro esports player)

Denizu yes and I would like to add that ppl should be more open minded about experiments. when they're doing the same strategies all the time there will be a point when there's no improvement. Also trying too hard often makes them playing even worse.. I think its usually ppl who dont have anything else they rly care for, also I think those are younger ppl who still have time for playing that intensely :)

A big reason Mercy mains only go for huge rezzes is because that's what your team cries for you to do in lower levels. Like, if I ress a single player that ultimately wins us the fight my team will still shit on me for "solo ressing" in silver to platinum games. Heck, at least half of the games they will even shit on me for duo ressing even if it wins us the fight... Sure, I can understand complaining about duo and solo resses if they happen after a fight is over or if the ress doesn't matter but even when the ress decides the fight they get mad.

MiniDemonic I only ever get annoyed about solo rezing as some one who also plays alot of mercy I don't solo rez because 95% of the time its useally a waste of an ult and both me and the other guy end up dying again which means that guy is out of the game for even longer. when it's early in the game I'm liberal with the rez's but once you get to the end or overtime I just hide and wait because useally what happens is they all dye and I get a 3~5 man rez and that turns the game

At the last push you should wait yes. But in the middle of the round a solo ress can turn the fight. If you and the other guy dies everytime you solo ress then you aren't solo ressing correctly.

MiniDemonic a 5~4v2 is going to result in you dying unless it's like a Zerya who has her ult, it highly depends on the skill of the player I'm rezing and what hero theyre using and whether or not if the person has their ult. if it's not a 5v2 but a 6v5 then why would you waste your ult like that instead of hiding and waiting for more people to die. solo rezing is just too situational to use effectively all the time.

King Washington, if you are ressing only one player when you are alone and the enemy team is 4-5 then you shouldn't play mercy. If the fight is 5v5 or 5v4 and you ress so the fight is 5v6 then you pretty much won that fight unless your team is useless. If all you do is wait for a huge rez then you aren't playing to mercys full potential. I suggest that you watch some streams of good mercys like eeveea or send in a recording of your game to unit lost for overanalyzed.

he isn't gm he's barely master and someone who was trying to get their friend to a certain level wouldn't play "meme" heroes as they would actually want to win so they would play their best heroes, however Elliot knows that he can't play his most played heroes well enough to carry as you would expect a "gm" level player to do in a gold rated game so he just plays "meme" heroes instead.
