I bought this during summer lockdown. My wife and I used to have a condo in Toronto...11th floor, so we were a decent way up. It was 3am, and I remember booting it up for the first time and hearing this tune. I just remembered letting it play while I looked out the window, out into the neon abyss. That late 80's / early 90's vibe filling the room as I sipped on my crown royal. Memories of my childhood rushing past me like waves of light. This fall, we moved up north. It's a lot quiter...less hustle and grind. I had to go back a few weeks ago, so my wife and I took the long drive back into the city. While driving on the DVP, this tune started to play. It instantly brought chills down my spine as I rushed past the lights of CN Tower and surrounding buildings. All lit up in neon fashion. Nostalgia filled my body like nothing else I could ever describe. Whenever I hear this tune, it instantly brings me back to the city. Right back to that condo on the 11th floor, I get those feelings all over again.... Staring out into the neon lights. I never used to miss the city much before, but I can't help but reminisce when I hear this tune. A true work of art. *Edit: Thank you all for taking the time to reminisce with me. I enjoy coming back here from time to time to read all your comments. I never really expected this to blow up the way it did, and it makes me smile, knowing there are like-minded people out there. That whole track is awesome but once you get to the 2:48 mark, that song instantly goes from awesome to bada@$ epic!!! No wonder that track was famously featured in the Streets of Rage 4 launch trailer. Yuzo's new tracks for the ost were all flawless but Olivier's work was equally brilliant. The legendary Yoko Shimomura also contributed an excellent track of her own to the soundtrack as well.

After a few more words, we got into Streets of Rage 4 and we both came to the same conclusion. I bring this up because it was a total 90s moment. Yuzo Koshiro originally grabbed my attention in SOR1, SOR2, and Revenge of Shinobi way back in the day. Today he still outputs incredibly quality music. For equally fantastic music from YZ check out the Etrian Odyssey soundtracks, different but still YZ doing what he does best.

And if it was meant to be with current times then the setting is actually 2004 and not 2020. I actually appreciate that even more because the early 2000's was a unique era.
