The first guy is a peak Champ 3, currently sitting at Champ 2. Yes he is Champ but 3s and 2s is completely different. If you get placed into a way faster matchup and play with random people who are way above your skill, your Gameplay would look more or less the same. Believe me, you guys are Champ for a reason.

Technically high rank team mates could make you "play worse", because it's harder to keep up with them, making you fall more out of place. Over all the team will be better because they are not only better but will also try to adjust, but still. I mean as a diamon I would probably not even get to the ball most of the time and miss half od the rest, which is comparatively worse then whatever you call the average performance of a diamond on a diamond match. There I can score on purpose, which at least feels like I'm playing better :D By the way it is good that in the end the deciding factor was not the points, because the RNGesus can also make you score once on any match. Also, if you just camp near the goal post, you'll probably get a few saves which likely gives more points than being a weaker but okay player who doesn't score, even though you'll probably get scored on more as well and will be less help overall.
