when you're sweating to shit on top of burning 5k/10k calories a day, its super hard to eat enough, especially in the field

I didn't realize just how important my protein intake was until Josh really harped on it. Problem with eating mostly a vegan diet (at least for me), it does make it a little difficult to get requirements down. But supplementing with chicken has gotten me where Josh has me dialed in. Cheers to Agoge Training. Here's my question for the next video: what would you and Josh recommend for those tactical athletes out there on the vegan (or vegan-ish) on deployments or MEU rotations?

THANK YOU NICK KOUMALATSOS for this vid, my friend and co worker is goin to army bootcamp on sunday (in 2 days) this should really help him, he was wondering about what kind of diet regimine they have 😎👍

Are you bringing the protein shake with you on deployment or is it shipped to you? How does that all work? And what Protein shakes would you recommend not only for athletes who are deployed, but also to athletes here at home? I'm about to ship out to the Navy with my HM-ATF contract in a few weeks so I'm trying to soak up as much information as i can. Thanks a ton for your great content, brother!

I usually get grilled chicken ( I ask the chefs to chop up the chicken breast and add one slice of American cheese so it can melt on the chicken) and rice. Keep it simple so I can track it. Bomb af

Whats a simple way of splitting your dinner plate/tray between high karb foods (potatoes/rice/pasta) and vegetables? Both home/mess Hall and in more field like conditions (non freeze dried/MRE meals)?

Blueberry Otis spunkmeyer muffin and a Ripit for breakfast. Jerky, pop tart and black cherry walnut cliff bar with a Ripit for lunch. Gatorade protein shake with a scoop of NO Explode for a snack. 200mg shot of test cyp for dinner with a fat dip of Grizz and if your feeling frisky 1 ampule of Nubane to help you sleep.

I dunno if your advice changes much when switching from being deployed to preparing for boot camp but do you have advice on diet and exercise for someone who wants to join the military? I'm 30 and trying to kick my ass into gear and join the Army National Guard. No guarantee because I have ADHD and used to medicate for it but I still want to throw my hat into the ring.

Call me mister principle but me personally, If I were in the field actively deployed, I would never watch my calories. Safety and getting the mission done are much more important. I would never forgive myself if a mission would go wrong because I'm in a caloric deficit and drowsy because of it. Now this would be different if I would be sedentary on Base Camp. Then I would watch my calories, but again, I love eating haha so I would be very active on base so I can eat more and still lose weight :) One final tip: Stop drinking those electrolyte drinks and just drink water, focus on getting your nutrition from food. Eat your calories, don't drink them!
