6:34 This sounds like this would be the 'pinch' variant of the track. Like, for example, how Sonic Advance 2 had variations of the boss themes when you were down to the last few hits against Eggman.

That's a pretty wild story attached to the theme. A battle mech capable of forcefully re-wiring enemy soldiers' brains to immobilize them, then shoot them dead. And those who survived, get off on warfare after that.
